Story
History: Wallace is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Looking to add a little squish and a whole lot of love to your family? Well, look no further - it's me, Wallace and I'm ready to find my forever family. It's been long overdue for me, but thanks to rescue life I'm told I have a second chance! I'm seven years old but have the movement of a much younger pup. I get in lots of steps during the day because I follow my foster mom wherever she goes and its a great way for me to keep up my potato like physique. I'm still working on stairs - we don't have many at my foster home, but currently I prefer to take a running start and leap the stairs outside. While stairs are a bit tricky for me, I have learned that coming in and out of the door isn't scary! I'm not a big fan of my leash. I find it weird and often worry it might eat me, so I try to eat it first - or I just sit down in an attempt to make my point. Foster mom continues to make me work on this, I'm not a fan, but I tolerate it at times. I would much rather prefer to just follow her on my own, but apparently dogs are expected to learn to walk on a leash so they are safe (or at least that's what I keep being told). Since I haven't really had much experience with life outside of a kennel, potty training is a whole new concept for me. At first I didn't understand why I wasn't supposed to mark my smell all over my new house (how do the rest of you say hello??), but now I'm learning that foster mom doesn't really like cleaning that up and I follow my foster siblings outside. I need someone to keep a bit of a watch over me when I get to new places, but I really am trying hard. I've gotten a lot better in a pretty short amount of time, it's just a little tough to figure out all of these new things. Now if I start to mark my spot inside foster mom makes a weird noise and I walk away. I guess soon I'm having a thing called a neuter and that is supposed to help - not sure what that is, but it sounds important. If you decide to adopt me there are a few things I really need from you - love, treats, and soft places to lay. I have never had these things before and now that I know what they are I simply cannot live without them. The people in my foster house are so nice to me. They pet me and snuggle me and are forever telling me how loved I am and it just makes me feel so good to know I'm special. Treats were something I never knew existed and golly are they amazing. I even know how to take them out of human hands because "I'm so brave"! Soft beds are incredible - I am becoming a certified couch potato when my humans watch movies and read books. It feels so nice to lay on something warm and soft. I just can't believe a life like this exists and am so glad Coco's Heart found me. Foster mom assures me life is only going to get better for me from here!

Meet Roke, a playful, fun-loving dog who’s always ready for adventure! He’s great with kids and gets along wonderfully with the dogs in his foster home. He even enjoys the cats—he gets a little excited around them, but it’s all in good fun and he’s learning to be a respectful friend. Roke adores zooming through the snow, chasing toys, and soaking up every bit of joy life has to offer. When the excitement winds down, Roke turns into the sweetest snuggle bug. He’ll happily curl up on the couch with you, and his adorable little snore is guaranteed to make you smile. He does very well in his kennel and is doing great with his house training—he’s catching on quickly and showing all the signs of becoming a well-mannered companion. Roke is ready for a family that loves playtime, snuggles, and having a fun-loving, energetic companion by their side. To apply to adopt, visit tailsofhopewi.org. Story
Hi! I’m Soraya! 🐾 I’m a sweet little Pug mix girl with a squishy face and a heart full of love. I’m a gentle, quiet soul who believes the best things in life are cozy naps, warm laps, and sticking close to my people. I’m house trained, and while I don’t love my crate, I will happily oblige and settle into one when needed. I get along wonderfully with kids, dogs, and cats, because honestly… I just love everyone. At 5 years old, I’m the perfect blend of calm and playful. I enjoy a little fun and then happily settle in for some quality relaxation time (especially if there’s a blanket involved). I’m not loud or demanding — just a sweet little presence who will quietly steal your heart. A note about my health: I do have luxating patellas in my back legs, with my left side a bit more pronounced than the right. The good news is that I am not in pain, and it does not affect my ability to walk, run, or enjoy daily activities. My veterinarian does not feel that any intervention is needed at this time, and it may never become worse than it is now. Of course, as with many things in life, there are no guarantees, and it could become an issue down the road — but right now, I’m happy, comfortable, and living life just like any other dog. If you’re looking for a small, snuggly companion who will be your shadow, your nap buddy, and your daily reminder to slow down, I might be the girl for you 💛

Story
Hi there, I am Homero, and if you cannot already tell by my very dignified name, I am quite the character. I am about four years old, a tall pug with a not-so-smooshed face, which means I breathe easier than most of my squishy-nosed cousins. I like to think it gives me a distinguished look… and a pretty good snore. I am a lively fellow with a whole lot of energy, and sometimes that big excitement comes out in ways that are a little confusing to other dogs. I get along with them just fine, but every now and then I forget to regulate my enthusiasm. I promise I am not a mean guy—I just feel things with my whole heart and sometimes my whole body. Toys, playtime, and romping around with dog friends all make me incredibly happy, and I would love a family who enjoys my zest for life. Now, I do have one strong opinion: cats are extremely chase-able. I do not want to live with them, and I do not trust myself to resist the urge to zoom after those mysterious floofy creatures. I came all the way from Mexico, so English commands are still new to me. I am a smart boy, though, and I am learning every day. I was recently neutered, so I have had a bit of a marking issue, but other than that I am pretty much potty trained. With routine and a little patience, I will get the rest sorted out too. Oh—and my voice? It is big. Very big. I bark to say hello, to say “look at that,” and sometimes just to share my thoughts. The good news is I do settle down once I know everything is safe and everyone is listening. If you are looking for a goofy, lovable, energetic companion who will shower you with affection and keep you laughing, I think we might be a perfect match. Come meet me—I would love to show you my happy dance and soak up some pats. Adoption fee is $350 + tax; please apply at www.campcompanion.org
