History: Churro is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Churro is just what his name implies — a sweet treat of a pup. If you’re looking for someone to snuggle, he’s your dude!! Churro is doing great with his foster family. He adores his foster brother and sister (both English Bulldogs) and he gives them space when they ask for it. He is discovering play and is oh so curious and cute when he chews on a toy. Sometimes he’ll even paw at his foster brother to initiate play. Churro also loves looking at the TV and lying in a heated blankie (he thinks it’s much too cold out right now). And his head tilts are just adorable as ever! A few things to note with Churro — he is blind in one eye and partially blind in the other. But that doesn’t seem to hinder him at all. He’s smart and quite active. He rubs up against things to feel out where he is. Long flights of stairs, however, will need to be gated. In terms of potty training, he is learning and seems to learn best by following the lead of his foster brother. However, it likely wouldn’t take long for him to catch on without another dog. Churro will be getting neutered and have his teeth removed in January. A soft diet will likely be necessary. Churro really has an A+ personality and is the goofiest, sweetest, most deserving pup ever. He is SO excited to find a loving forever home where he can snuggle, play and find joy in his later years!!

She likes dogs his size, dog beds, laps, bones (to chew on), couches and toys. She will do best in an active home with children over 10 years of age. She is crate trained, loves car rides, walks and dog training. Not sure on exact adult size, but guessing no larger than a medium sized dog as parents are 25 lbs. No apartments please. Hi there, I am Homero, and if you cannot already tell by my very dignified name, I am quite the character. I am about four years old, a tall pug with a not-so-smooshed face, which means I breathe easier than most of my squishy-nosed cousins. I like to think it gives me a distinguished look… and a pretty good snore. I am a lively fellow with a whole lot of energy, and sometimes that big excitement comes out in ways that are a little confusing to other dogs. I get along with them just fine, but every now and then I forget to regulate my enthusiasm. I promise I am not a mean guy—I just feel things with my whole heart and sometimes my whole body. Toys, playtime, and romping around with dog friends all make me incredibly happy, and I would love a family who enjoys my zest for life. Now, I do have one strong opinion: cats are extremely chase-able. I do not want to live with them, and I do not trust myself to resist the urge to zoom after those mysterious floofy creatures. I came all the way from Mexico, so English commands are still new to me. I am a smart boy, though, and I am learning every day. I was recently neutered, so I have had a bit of a marking issue, but other than that I am pretty much potty trained. With routine and a little patience, I will get the rest sorted out too. Oh—and my voice? It is big. Very big. I bark to say hello, to say “look at that,” and sometimes just to share my thoughts. The good news is I do settle down once I know everything is safe and everyone is listening. Derek the devious 🤣 Meet Derek, a young adult male (approximately 1.5 years old) fawn pug. He has 2 resting faces: pouty or laughing. He is very loving, dog, cat, & all ages/sizes of humans friendly- true to his breed. Derek does not let architectural boundaries come between him & what he desires, be it the kitty kibble that was (🙄safely) secured behind three separate 3-4 ft baby gates, or the recycling that had been sitting on the far recessed of the kitchen countertop. He uses amazing “sproing” & scramble abilities to reach his desired destination. Housebreaking is a work in progress, having been introduced to him when he was trapped & taken in as a stray right before Christmas. Pugs can be notoriously stubborn, but they do desire to please, so he is about 75% of the way there. Do you have room for this sweet, spunky guy in your home & life?
