Story
Looking for a little dog with a lot of heart? Meet Ian! This pint-sized black and white pup is living proof that a broken hip and medical needs do not mean a broken spirit! Ian's hip has healed but he is on daily meds for a medical condition, Diabetes insipidus. Despite it all, Ian is fun, boisterous, and full of playful energy that is absolutely contagious. Ian may be small, but he has a big love for life. He thrives on attention and is constantly looking for a game of seek with his toys or a good cuddle session. He plays well with other dogs, making him a great potential new sibling for your current furry friend. When it comes to his favorite things, toys rank high on the list, and food is right up there too; he's happily not picky about his meals... He eats from a slow feeder bowl to make sure he doesn't get too overzealous with his meals and is able to digest well. Ian is looking for a loving home where his joyful personality can shine and he can get the care and affection he deserves. Are you ready to give this resilient, playful boy a chance at a happy forever home? Basic Info: Male, 1 yr old Boston Terrier/Chihuahua Coat: Black and White UTD on shots and parasitic preventatives. Diabetes Insipidus: affects urine concentration, requires twice daily meds to maintain healthy urine and for bladder contraction to aid in fully emptying the bladder Local adoption fee (Texas) - $200 Out of state adoption (includes transport to your area) ‐ $450

**Think this dog might be for you? The first step is to complete an application: http://www.mominpinrescue.org/p/adoption-application_30.html We do not arrange transport for our dogs. If your application is approved, you will be required to come to us to pick up your dog.** Kenji was described by the shelter as a Boston Terrier, and we agree with that, but he seems taller and lankier than a Boston with those long legs! We think he could be part Boxer or a "Boxton." He weighs about 17 pounds and is about 3 years old. When we got him, he was heartworm-positive but has been treated and has tested heartworm-negative. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and on heartworm preventative. He is a very sweet dog, but would not do well with cats, or smaller dogs. He has not been tested with children. Kenji is located in St. Louis, and his adoption fee is $260.

Story
Meet Charlie! A 6 y/o Boston terrier, 24lbs. He’s a very sweet boy. He’s not much of a barker, but will speak his mind if someone knocks on the door. The loudest he gets is when he’s snoring. He loves going for walks, running in the backyard, rough playing, sleeping in the bed, and hanging out with his humans and dog friends. He’s fearful of car rides and meeting strangers in public. If the stranger is in his home, like the repairman fixing the faucet, they are his best friend. He’s not great around other dogs, but he does have a few dog friends he adores. It can take time to build those relationships. He has not had an accident in the house in over 5 years. Recent teeth cleaning and everything looked great. I got him in 2020 as a second dog with my ex. His sister passed away in 2022. I’ve done my best to take care of him alone, but my schedule and recent health issues have made it hard to give him the attention he deserves. He would thrive with a couple who is lightly active.
