Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Norman is a sweet little Boston Terrier mix who’s under a year old and weighs just 11 pounds. He may be a bit shy when you first meet him, but give him a little time (and a few treats!) and he blossoms into an affectionate, playful boy who loves giving kisses. Norman gets along great with other dogs and enjoys chasing toys when they’re thrown—playtime is definitely one of his favorite things. He hasn’t met children or cats yet, so those introductions would be new for him. He’s crate trained and currently working on potty training and walking nicely on a leash. The good news? He’s very food motivated, which makes training a fun and positive experience. This smart pup already knows how to sit and is eager to keep learning. Once he feels comfortable, Norman loves being close to his people and soaking up all the affection he can get. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who just needs a little patience to show his wonderful personality, Norman could be the perfect addition to your home. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training, & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. DOB: 7/18/2025 Adoption Fee: $500

Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Virgil is an adorable Boston Terrier mix who’s under a year old and already packed with personality. At just 11 pounds, he’s the perfect little sidekick—small in size, big in charm. He’s very playful, absolutely loves stuffed toys, and is always ready for a game or a cuddle. This friendly guy gets along great with other dogs and kids, making him a wonderful family companion. He hasn’t met cats yet, so that introduction would be new territory for him. Story
Greta is a beautiful, sweet 3 year old, weighing in at 27-pounds of pure Frenchie love.  This girl adores being the center of attenion, so if another dog is trying to steal her show, don't be surprised if she gracefully (but firmly) booty-bumps them out of HER picture! No regrets! Despite her very cuddly side, and potato-esque figure, Greta is NOT just a lounge around kind of pup. She has plenty of energy and balances quality snuggle time with raiding the toy box, playing tug with her humans, and wrestling with her other canine foster friends. While Greta has been very social with other sweet small dogs, including other frenchies, and just about every person she meets, she's NOT a fan of bigger breeds or dominent doggos. Her house manners are impeccable (if she does say so herself), so even though she's crate trained she generally has free rein of the downstairs when her foster fam has to head out for a little while. Despite her very strong opinions about the cold, Greta musters her courage like she’s about to do a polar plunge when it's time to go potty, followed by a warp speed return that would make a cheetah jealous. When the weather isnt trying to turn her into a frozen frenchie, she loves to strut her stuff on neighborhood walks, and happily rides along anywhere her humans go. Greta walks beautifully on leash which makes her a delight to take on strolls. (Due to her squishy face, warm temps need to be carefully watched as she easily overheats).  Greta rarely barks unless she's riled up from playing. When it's time for bed she’s happiest snoring under the covers, preferably snuggled as close as she can possibly get to her human...even if that sometimes means shoving them off the side of the bed. Oops. Like most Frenchies, Greta comes with a few breed quirks. She has typical GI and skin sensitivities, well managed on a high quality diet. She also previously had a small lump on her side removed and biopsied. It was low-grade (1) mast cell but was removed with excellent margins. This is the most common and is usually completely cured with surgery. The vet was very pleased with the outcome. Because Frenchies can require specialized care, we’re only seeking an adopter with frenchie breed experience who understands their unique (but totally worth-it) medical challenges. Deep pockets and a vet who happens to be your bestie wouldn't hurt with this breed. (not kidding). While Greta has liked everyone she has met so far, small kids would not be ideal since she likes to give love nips when she's excited.  Adoption Fee: $950 — includes spay surgery, lumpectomy and biopsy, microchip, vaccinations, and current flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Ready to welcome this fabulous frenchie girl into your life? Inquiries or applications submitted through Petfinder or other third-party sites are not accepted. Your veterinarian must have permission to speak with us.
