Meet Gordie! Gordie is a 6½-month-old Terrier mix puppy who is full of personality and potential. According to his foster dad, Gordie is a bright little guy who is quickly picking up on home-life routines and learning what it means to be part of a household. Like many young puppies, Gordie’s housetraining is still a work in progress. While he’s learning fast, he’s still figuring out how to clearly signal when he needs to go outside. With consistency, patience, and a predictable schedule, this smart pup will continue to improve. Gordie loves furniture (a true couch connoisseur!) and does a great job entertaining himself with toys. He’s a fun, social puppy who enjoys meeting grownups while out and about in the neighborhood—and he has an uncanny ability to spot fellow “dog people” in any crowd. He is dog social and has happily coexisted in his foster home with two cats. Gordie would do best in a home with children ages 9 and older, as he can still be a bit unsure around fast or sudden movements. If it is an owner surrender dog, more vaccine information may be provided. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10AM-12:30PM and 1PM-4PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. You must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.

MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Norman is a sweet little Boston Terrier mix who’s under a year old and weighs just 11 pounds. He may be a bit shy when you first meet him, but give him a little time (and a few treats!) and he blossoms into an affectionate, playful boy who loves giving kisses. Norman gets along great with other dogs and enjoys chasing toys when they’re thrown—playtime is definitely one of his favorite things. He hasn’t met children or cats yet, so those introductions would be new for him. He’s crate trained and currently working on potty training and walking nicely on a leash. The good news? He’s very food motivated, which makes training a fun and positive experience. This smart pup already knows how to sit and is eager to keep learning. Once he feels comfortable, Norman loves being close to his people and soaking up all the affection he can get. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who just needs a little patience to show his wonderful personality, Norman could be the perfect addition to your home. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. At just 11 pounds, he’s the perfect little sidekick—small in size, big in charm. He’s very playful, absolutely loves stuffed toys, and is always ready for a game or a cuddle. This friendly guy gets along great with other dogs and kids, making him a wonderful family companion. He hasn’t met cats yet, so that introduction would be new territory for him. Virgil is crate trained and is currently working on potty training and walking nicely on a leash—and thanks to being very food-motivated, he’s eager to learn and make his people proud. Virgil thrives on being close to his humans. He’s communicative, curious, and affectionate, and he shows his love generously with lots of kisses. He can be vocal, so he may not be the best fit for apartment living, but in a home where he can express himself a bit, he’ll shine. If you’re looking for a sweet, fun-loving pup who wants to be part of everything you do, Virgil is ready to steal your heart (and probably your couch).
