Story
Schroeder is a purebred red/white Boston Terrier that will be two in February. He is a happy, friendly dog, that needs a lot of exercise. He would do better with older children, 6 yrs. +. He would love to be active on a regular basis...like long walks and hiking. I currently take care of our grandchildren 1 yrs. - 6 yrs. and just don't have the time he needs. We've had him since he was 10 weeks old. He's crate/kennel and potty trained.

Story
Looking for a little dog with a whole lot of heart? Meet Ian! Ian is a 1.5-year-old black and white sweetheart who proves every day that a rough start does not define your future. This pint-sized boy previously suffered a hip injury, which has healed beautifully, and his happy, playful spirit never missed a beat. Ian is fun, boisterous, and full of contagious joy. He loves attention, enjoys romping around with his toys, and is always ready for a cuddle when playtime winds down. He does well with other dogs and would make a wonderful addition to a home with canine friends. Ian also loves his food and is happily not picky. He eats from a slow-feeder bowl to help him enjoy his meals at a healthy pace and aid digestion. Medical Transparency (the important but reassuring part): Ian has Diabetes Insipidus, which is not the same as diabetes mellitus. This condition affects how his body concentrates urine and has nothing to do with blood sugar. • Oral medication only — no shots or injections • Takes medication twice daily to maintain healthy urine concentration and support full bladder emptying • Medication may be lifelong or temporary, depending on future veterinary guidance • Medication cost can vary depending on the veterinarian or pharmacy • Needs frequent potty breaks Ian does wonderfully on his routine and is otherwise a happy, active, affectionate young dog. He is looking for a loving home that will appreciate his joyful personality and continue his simple daily care so he can thrive for years to come. Are you ready to give this resilient, playful boy the forever home he deserves? Basic Info: Male, 1 yr old, Boston Terrier/Chihuahua, Coat: Black and White, neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and preventions, preventatives. Local adoption fee (Texas) - $200 Out of state adoption (includes transport to your area) ‐ $450

Story
Please read this post in its entirety. Please acknowledge that you have done so. Your response serves as your preliminary application. Please provide the requested information. I cannot stress that enough. I need more than "I want a dog, live in a house, and will love her". Gizzel is an adult dog- I suspect to be about 9 years old. She was a stray. Although microchipped, the attached owner indicated they gave her away. That information was provided; however, they never responded to me or our local animal shelter. Now she is ready to find a new loving home. She has been in a loving foster home for over a month and is scheduled for her spay appointment on December 18th. At her Dec 1st appointment, she was found to have a heart murmur. Because of her breed mix, she does not appear or display any of the brachycephalic issues of this type of smooched-face breeds. Gizzel is a presumed Boston Terrier/dachshund mix- aka Bo-Dach. She weighs in at 15 pounds- long and solid. This sweet low-rider has wonderful potty manners, is quiet and sometimes a bit aloof. I've never heard her bark. She gets on well with her foster mates, is loving and so very well mannered; however, she does like to hike herself up onto the desk to peek out of the windows. She has not yet engaged with toys. But I am always reminded about a dog I had, an Aussie mix who had no desire to play with toys, fetch a ball or anything else. Until one day, 2 years later, he had an enlightenment. I tossed the ball, and that was that! He would chase and fetch until he dropped. I am hopeful she will have a diving enlightenment as well. Gizzel enjoys leash walks and car rides and would be thrilled to jump under your covers. Tell us about you, your family, your activities, your property, the city you live in, other pets in your home, and whatever else puts you on top. The more information about you, the better. What can this companion expect from you, and what are your expectations of him/her? Additionally, we will not meet halfway. Please prepare to meet in person without hurry, and be willing to have a home evaluation and viewing of your social media. There is a fee for placement to offset medical and care. Age-appropriate placement is at the discretion of the guardian advocate. Please allow several or more days for a response, as I review inquiries. I appreciate your understanding—Raleigh's Rescue Advocacy. *DNA testing is not performed, and we can only give you an assumed breed or breed mix.

Story
We saw Grasshopper on an Oregon rehoming page and found out he was being kept in a too small crate where he couldn't even stand up fully and was not being fed regularly. This funny, outgoing boy weighed in at just 17 pounds when we took him in and his spine, ribs and hip bones were prominent. Despite his neglectful situation, Grasshopper is a sponge for love and attention! He just wants to be everyone's friend! Last year, Grasshopper was adopted out but then returned to us January 2026 due to his owner moving overseas for work. - 25 pounds but should be 20 pounds and approximately 1 year, 7 months old - Leggy guy. He looks much bigger in his photos but he's a smaller size. Our best guess on breed mix is Boston Terrier/Chihuahua and Pit Bull. He is darling and gets compliments everywhere he goes. - Social butterfly with all people and is happy and eager to greet everyone - Excellent with other dogs and loves to play. He is currently fostered with 5 dogs and does well with both large and small dog friends. - Great with children and could be a fun little friend for a home with gentle kids that want a nice dog to pal around with. - Cat workable. He will playfully chase cats but this could be worked on with the right owner. He has never hurt a cat. - Crate trained. Does whine in the crate initially but settles down. - Loves to snuggle with you on the couch or bed - Walks nice on leash - Potty habits are doing well - LOVES toys and to play tug and fetch - Knows "sit" and "shake" Grasshopper is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Oregon City, Portland, Milwaukie or Tualatin. $350 adoption fee Fostered in Vancouver, Washington APPLY TO ADOPT GRASSHOPPER ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG
