Story
Description Personable, sweet and petite girl with a miniature boxer face and body, and tall legs. All black, shiny with brindle brown legs. Personality Hominy fits right in immediately anywhere she goes and becomes a part of the pack. She is great with strangers, new dogs and new places. She lets any stranger pick her up and loves hugs. She is playful, affectionate and wiggly. She makes the vets laugh bc she rolls over in their arms onto her back and shows her belly. Background Hominy was found along the road by a commuter on their way to work. She looked like a puppy. She had a microchip but her prior owners didn't want her back. Already spayed green tattoo. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescue family at GNARHouston@gmail.com to arrange a visit at my foster home or local Petsmart!

Story
Tori is just a puppy with really long legs that go all the way to the ground. She is 30 pounds of adorable gangly clumsiness. She was found as a stray and whined while riding in her finder's car. There was a cat in the home which she didn't think was worth her attention. She is very interested in the shelter dogs and acts like she wants to play with them all. Sometimes she might bark at one She is not leash trained and either gallops, does zoomies, or chews on it. Everything is a toy to her - a leaf, a pine cone, a stick. She is excitable and thinks shelter life is fun. She is alert and pays attention. She is not house trained so please help her learn. She is friendly, affectionate and quiet. She loves sitting on a lap and giving kisses and being petted. We don't know how she'll behave around children but due to her rambunctiousness and mouthy behavior when she gets excited, she'll need to live with kids at least 12 years old. Please offer sweet, lovable Tori the home and family she deserves. Story
Hi! My name’s Jazzie, but you could call me Jazzie Pepper, Jazzie Jazz, Jazzie J, or Dr. Jazzie, even (we watch ER at night and I have to say that Dr. Ross and Nurse Hathaway belong together). I’ve been with my foster fam for a week, and boy have I learned a lot! My favorite thing might be toys, or maybe mealtime, or you know, I really like that word “outside.” Did you know if they say “outside” we get to run around on this thing called grass? There are these small dogs called squirrels that are very exciting out there, too. When we go outside and I go potty, I get a treat reward! I only go potty outside, which was confusing at first, but I’m learning more every day! I can even sit for treats! Treats are my favorite. No. Toys. Wait, treats. It’s hard to pick. I really just love everything, from kisses to cuddles to playtime to naps. I think classical music is very relaxing, but piano concertos are the most calming for me during kennel time. I’m just very excited about everything. My foster fam told me there would be another family looking for me that would be so happy to fill their house with my love and snuggles. I can stay here as long as I need. They`ll be really sad when we say goodbye. Oh! I don`t really like sudden, loud noises, and I respond best to gentle `no, no, no`s` if I find something that`s not for me.My foster siblings give me lots of patience and space, and they taught me how to give them space, too. Now we have meals together, we nap together, we’re even learning to play together. They’ve been so nice because I really just want friends and a nice pile of toys. Did I tell you how much I love toys? I have collected so many from around the house and gathered them into piles that I dive into and nap on.I’m a lover, not a fighter. My foster family tells me I’m the best girl. Calm, cool, collected, and so happy to be here.`To meet me email BARCFoster@houstontx.gov

Story
Macy is the most sassypants puppy you’ve ever met. She gives great “side-eye” and she is looking for a pack to lead! There isn’t a toy that she doesn’t like and she chews on them relentlessly, NOT the furniture. Yay! She currently lives with two 80lb male Rottweiler mixes and thinks she’s in charge of them. She also likes being out front during walks. She’s about 6 months old, so potty training is still ongoing, but she’s a smart little girl who wants to please and is very treat motivated.
