Meet Patches! He`s part comedian, part curmudgeon: if you are an experienced dog owner and can handle a little attitude, Patches (Paddy to his friends) might be the one for you! He`s been in our rescue a while, and it`s been great to see him blossom and progress in his training. Once you get past the occasional grumble and growl, he is a funny, affectionate, and loyal little guy who keeps his foster family laughing all the time.Paddy is about 15 lbs., house-trained, crate-trained, and sleeps quietly through the night. He’s a quick study and loves to show off his tricks — he knows “sit,” “stay,” “shake,” “lay down,” and even “roll over.” Food and praise are his love languages!He’s a great walking buddy and is obsessed with his toys -- but he’s happiest spending most of his time burrowed under a blanket. He’s a polite house guest, does not chew what he shouldn’t (your shoes are safe!), and gets along well with his dog friends at home. He can be barky around new dogs, but when it comes to new humans, he does not meet a stranger!We know a dog like Paddy isn`t going to be everyone`s cup of tea. He`s bold, full of character, and best enjoyed by someone who likes some spice! Paddy holds onto a few quirks from his past: he can be protective of his things and needs clear boundaries. He thrives with structure and consistency, and once he understands the rules, he follows them beautifully. With an experienced adopter who can provide calm leadership and keep him feeling secure, Paddy will return your devotion.Paddy will be a happy, loving family member in a patient, child-free home that offers gentle structure and plenty of affection. His foster family would love to tell you more about him!

Story
Nova is a 35lb adult (5yr-ish) French bulldog mix. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate and would love to find a forever home. She is still working on her housetraining (great with #1, still working on #2). She walks perfectly on a leash and adores snuggles and couch naps. She loves to show her excitement by wagging her whole body! She came into the rescue with a number of health issues - like most Frenchies - and needs an adopter who understands the financial committments of owning this wonderful, but expensive breed. She had a corneal ulcer (being treated with eye medication), a UTI (treated), unaltered (we fixed her), and with heartworms (she's on the slow kill treatment). Despite all of that, her spirit is amazing - full of love and happiness!! https://youtube.com/shorts/tdpFSLhJosk?feature=share Nova is located in Houston TX and will only be transported upon completed adoption. Her adoption fee is $500. Inquiries will not be responded to unless a completed application has been sent. You can fill out an application at www.recycleddogsrescue.org.
