A unique Boston Terrier/Heeler mix, Ontario brings a special blend of intelligence and `quirky silliness` to the table. Currently weighing 20 lbs, we expect him to be a manageable medium size (under 45 lbs) once he’s fully grown.Ontario is currently spending time in a foster home, where he is working hard on building his confidence. He is a very shy and timid boy who prefers to take life at his own pace.While he is incredibly sweet, Ontario needs a patient family who understands that trust is earned over time. In fact, he spent his first week in foster care simply observing from a distance, taking his time to feel safe and comfortable before he was ready for physical affection. Because he’s at such a formative age, Ontario has incredible potential to blossom into a loyal, smart companion.With gentle training, he could integrate beautifully into a home with cats, other dogs, or children. While he might not be the `life of the party` the moment you meet him, the bond you form with a dog like Ontario is incredibly deep and rewarding.Ontario isn`t looking for just any house, he’s looking for a sanctuary where he can continue to find his brave side.Ontario is neutered, up-to-date on core vaccines, flea, tick, & heartworm prevention, and he is microchipped.
