This sweet mama is Ashley, the beautiful Boxer/Hound mix. Ashley and her tiny little puppies were recently rescued from a bad situation in the South. Now they're happy, healthy, and all ready for human families of their very own! Ashley is a lovely little lady. She's super sweet and very pretty. She also has a hidden talent- see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCdfx-GoA5E&feature=youtu.be Although Ashley has a very nice nature, she can be a bit jealous when it comes to other dogs getting your undivided attention. Since she's been a stray/ in the shelter environment for some time it makes sense that she's craving love and affection, though, and this can surely be worked through with some love, patience and trust. She's GREAT with kids!!! She's not completely housebroken yet, as she's shifted locations many times, but this is being worked through as well. Although she's a mom herself, she could really use some doting upon from a forever family. Will that be with you? She sure hopes so! All IOHR animals have had age-appropriate medical care. Say hello to Joey! We think Joey is most likely a Boxer/Mastiff mix; however he's pretty small for these breeds, weighing in at around 50 pounds of pure muscle. Joey is 2 years old, super calm, chill and docile. However, he gets along well with other dogs and loves to play and be social when given the opportunity. We recently pulled him from the ACC. We're not exactly sure how he ended up there, but either way it's a shock as he is an incredibly sweet, relaxed and handsome dog. At the ACC Joey received a glowing behavior assessment- he was easily pushed away from his food bowl mid-eating, he showed zero aggression, and he had soft body language. This gentle boy will be a joy to have around. Won't you give him the forever home he so desperately needs? All IOHR animals have had age-appropriate medical care. This is Khaki, the playful 1.5 year old pittie girl with the most beautiful eyes! She was recently pulled from the ACC, where she spent about a month and a half behind the bars of a cage. Khaki is a wonderful, happy, outgoing little girl! She's pretty young and therefore energetic, and so she enjoys running around and playing whenever possible. Khaki was originally seized by the NYPD for unknown reasons, but now she has her second chance at a happy life. Khaki is sweet, smart, loving and playful.
