Story
Everest is the kind of girl who would happily spend her day right by your side. This cuddly sweetheart has the cutest wiggle butt, and when she gets excited, her whole body joins in! One of our favorite things about Everest is her adorable submissive smile—when she’s happy to see us or gets a little baby talk, she flashes us all her teeth. It’s impossible not to smile back! Everest can be a little shy when meeting new people and prefers to take things slow, but she warms up quickly once she feels comfortable. Once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll often stay close by, soaking up all the love she can get. She has a calmer, medium-energy personality and enjoys walks, exploring outside, and spending time with her people, but nothing beats a good cuddle session in Everest’s book. Everest has great manners and walks nicely on a leash. She knows sit, down, and shake, too! She will need some time and patience as she adjusts to her new home. Gentle guidance, consistency, and allowing her to settle in at her own pace will be important to helping Everest feel confident and successful. She has been friendly with other dogs but typically prefers to keep to herself. She has a submissive demeanor when meeting other dogs and can become overwhelmed in busy environments, so a calmer home may be the best fit for her. We’re always happy to arrange a dog meet-and-greet with established pups prior to adoption! Everest may take a little time to feel at home, but once she does, we think you’ll have a devoted little shadow with a whole lot of love—and one very wiggly butt.

Story
Larson is the kind of dog who believes everyone is a friend he just hasn’t met yet. This goofy, happy-go-lucky guy is a true social butterfly who greets new people with an ever-wagging tail and a smile that is impossible to resist. Whether you’re a familiar face or a total stranger, Larson is always ready to say hello. One of Larson’s favorite things is getting out on a Miles & Mutts adventure. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll filled with plenty of sniff breaks or a hike on the trails, he’s happiest when he has the chance to explore the world alongside his people. Larson thrives when he has both physical exercise and mental enrichment, but with a positive outlet for his energy, he settles in beautifully and is more than happy to relax afterward. Don’t let his adventurous side fool you—Larson has a soft side too. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves soaking up attention. Belly rubs are one of his greatest joys, and he’ll happily flop over, hoping you’ll stop for just a few more scratches. Larson has wonderful manners and has made shelter life easy on everyone who meets him. He is potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and knows the cues “sit,” “down,” “wait,” and “shake.” He’s gentle when taking treats and toys, eager to please, and genuinely enjoys spending time with his people. Of course, there is always room to learn more! Because Larson forms strong bonds with his people, he may experience some separation anxiety when left alone. Giving him regular exercise, enrichment activities, and a consistent routine will go a long way in helping him feel confident and successful in his new home. He’s also known to be a little excitedly chatty when something fun is happening, but it’s short-lived and simply part of his charming, enthusiastic personality. We’ve also seen Larson do well with other dogs. He’s friendly during introductions, happy to say hello, and equally content to do his own thing. If you already have a canine companion, we’re happy to help arrange a meet and greet. Larson is simply a fun dog to be around. He’s equal parts adventure buddy, cuddle companion, and loyal best friend. If you’re looking for a dog who will happily join you on the trail, make friends wherever he goes, and end the day curled up beside you, Larson may just be your perfect match.

Story
Theo is the definition of a sweetheart. This young boy has the gentlest soul and absolutely lives for love and affection. Whether you’re heading out for a walk, tidying up, or simply relaxing on the couch, Theo is happiest just being by your side. He’s quick to trust, deeply loyal, and always eager to be part of whatever you’re doing. One of Theo’s best qualities is how wonderfully he gets along with other dogs. He has a soft, respectful demeanor and does an excellent job reading canine body language and respecting boundaries. He’s even managed to win over some of our pickier shelter dogs! We think Theo would love having a canine companion in his future home, and we’re always happy to provide a dog meet and greet before adoption if needed. Theo appears to be potty trained and takes pride in keeping his kennel nice and clean. He walks well on a leash, knows the cue “sit,” and has been a pleasure to spend time with. While we can’t guarantee he’s crate trained, he naturally seeks out cozy spaces to relax and seems to appreciate having a quiet place of his own, so we anticipate he’ll adapt quickly if a crate is part of his routine. It is important to be mindful that Theo will need time to adapt to his new home. When he’s not out exploring, Theo is perfectly content curling up on a comfy bed or entertaining himself with a toy. He’s not picky—if it squeaks, bounces, or can be carried around, he’s happy! As a young dog, Theo will thrive with regular exercise, enrichment, and opportunities to play, helping him grow into the very best version of himself. Theo has been such a joy to get to know. His kind heart, gentle spirit, and easygoing personality make him a wonderful companion. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will happily join you on life’s adventures before settling in for some well-earned snuggles, Theo just might be the perfect fit.
