🐾🤍 Hello there! My name is Julius! 🤍🐾I'm a handsome 3-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Pit Bull mix, weighing in at 70 pounds, with a beautiful gray-and-white coat and a heart that's been through more than any dog should ever have to endure. But despite my rough beginnings, I'm living proof that a little kindness can change a life. ❤️ My story started on a hiking trail, where I was found abandoned by a forest ranger. I was in heartbreaking condition, severely underweight, and suffering from mange that left my skin raw and bleeding. I was frightened and had a hard time trusting people. At first, the ranger couldn't even touch me. Then, something wonderful happened. A group of hikers came along with their kiddos, and I walked right up to the children, covering them in kisses! 🥹 Those little ones helped me realize that the ranger was someone I could trust, too. With their help, I was finally able to be rescued and brought to the Humane Society of the Ouachitas. I went into a loving foster home where I could heal, feel safe, and learn that not all humans would let me down. And guess what? I've blossomed into the sweetest gentleman! My foster family discovered that I'm wonderful with other dogs and can adapt to a wide variety of canine personalities. I know my name and sit, and I'm fully house-trained and crate-trained. I also know how to use a doggie door when one is available. Just keep in mind that I'm a quiet guy who won't necessarily bark to let you know I need to go outside, so I'll need a family who keeps me on a regular potty schedule. 🐶I'm gentle, well-mannered, and wonderful with people of all ages, but I have a very special place in my heart for kiddos. After everything I've been through, there's something extra special about the way I connect with little ones. I also do well with cat-friendly dogs—er, I mean cats who are comfortable around dogs and don't run away! 🐱 Cats who dart off may be too tempting for me to chase, so a careful introduction and the right feline match are important. Adventure, anyone? I'm wonderful on a leash, although I might pull a little when excitement gets the best of me. I load into vehicles easily and travel like a pro, making me a fantastic companion for road trips and family outings. But honestly, one of my favorite things in the world is simply being loved. Give me attention, affection, and a little quality time, and I'll soak up every second! I've already overcome so much, and now I'm ready for the part of my story I've been waiting for: a forever family of my very own. I'm not asking for anything fancy.
