Hi… I’m Duke. I’m about 3 years old, and I’m still figuring this whole “being a dog” thing out. I didn’t always have someone to show me how, so some stuff is new to me—like meeting people, trusting right away, and knowing I’m safe and feel free to eat the food i need to stay healthy Because of that, I can be a little shy and nervous when I first meet you. I might hang back at first… just watching, making sure everything’s okay. The people here say I’m learning more every day. and on the road to a good weight recovery I’m learning that gentle voices are good, that hands can mean pets, and that I don’t have to be so worried all the time. What I really need is a home that will keep teaching me—someone who understands that I’m not “perfect” yet, but I’m trying really hard. I think I’d do best with someone who can spend lots of time with me, helping me build confidence and showing me how to be the best boy I know I can be. I promise I’ll give you my whole heart in return. Love, Duke 🐾

Meet Crunchy Roll Crunchy Roll is a NM blue brindle boxer bulldog blend with an estimated DOB of 5/5/2025. This sweet little guy is a bit shy when first meeting new people, but underneath that nervous exterior is a gentle, loving pup who truly wants to connect. In his foster home, he has already started coming out of his shell more each day, especially when he has another dog around to help him feel safe and confident. Crunchy Roll has a smaller stature and is currently around 37 pounds, and he likely will not get much bigger. Basically, he is the perfect medium sized companion. He absolutely thrives with other dogs, so his future home must have at least one friendly canine companion. Having a buddy nearby helps him relax, learn, and remember that the world is not such a scary place after all. So far in foster care, Crunchy Roll has shown us that he is: Cat friendly Kid friendly Dog friendly Potty trained Walking nicely on leash Rides great in the car Trustworthy when left home alone Crunchy Roll is an overall chill boy who really does not ask for much. Give him some food in his belly, a few slow and easy walks, some couch time with his people, and space to play with his canine friends, and he is a happy guy. Even when he feels unsure, he is incredibly sweet and trying his best to be brave. He is the kind of dog who will deeply bond with his people once trust is built, and watching him slowly gain confidence has already been so rewarding. Crunchy Roll is looking for a patient, loving home that will continue helping him blossom into the best Crunchy Roll possible. We truly believe that once he feels safe and settled, his goofy and loving personality is going to shine. Crunchy Roll will go to his new home neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Hi, I'm Bane! I'm a 5-year-old Boxer/Pit Bull mix, and I came to CAC through no fault of my own. While my life has changed quite a bit, I'm hoping my forever family is just around the corner. I'm a super smart boy who loves to learn and is always eager to please. I can be a little shy and nervous when meeting new people, so slow introductions are a must for me. Once I know you're a friend, though, you'll discover that I'm one of the sweetest, most affectionate dogs around. Some of my favorite things in life are playing fetch, a good game of tug-of-war, and carrying around my beloved duck stuffed animal. Sometimes I'll play with it all by myself, and other times I'd love for you to join in on the fun! I also have a funny habit of forgetting how big I am—I often think I'm lap-dog sized and would be more than happy to squeeze in next to you for cuddles. My dream home is a place where I can relax and enjoy the simple things in life: a few tasty treats, daily adventures, and plenty of snuggles sprinkled throughout the day. I'm still learning that I don't always have to be the big tough guy. Because I naturally like to look out for my people, I'd do best in a home with older kids (15+) or children who understand that roughhousing isn't really my thing. I prefer when everyone is calm, kind, and respectful of each other. I would thrive with experienced owners who understand the lovable quirks of bully breeds, or with someone who's willing to earn my trust one delicious piece of chicken at a time. I've never really been left alone indoors or outdoors before, so I'll need patience, consistency, and positive training as I learn new routines. With a family committed to helping me grow and succeed, I know I'll be an amazing companion.
