Story
MEET JOEY! Joey is a 7-month-old purebred Boxer puppy rescued from a California shelter. He came out of the shelter with stitches on his muzzle and body as he had likely been attacked by another dog. But Joey is doing great now! He's still underweight and we're working on that but beyond that he's a wonderful puppy. He will be neutered once he's at a healthier weight. Joey would do great with an active person or people. He currently needs a foster or forever home. Please email for an application.

Story
Julia is one of the larger puppies in this litter, and possibly has the biggest heart. You can tell that this gentle, sweet soul will grow into a good size – she will be perfect for all sorts of adventures with you and have no problems keeping up. Gentle Julia is surprisingly delicate for her size; she’s actually quite deliberately dainty, and we love just watching her romp and play. Julia watches everything closely, and is quite playful and social. She adores a good belly rub and will catch your eye and roll over, just in case you were thinking about giving her one. (You definitely will – she’s irresistible!) Julia is mostly light brown and white, with dark ‘eyebrows’ that allow her to give you the most plaintive looks (here’s where the begging for belly rubs really kicks in). Her body is brown with white accents – all four legs have adorable knee-high white ‘boots’. Her tail is brown, except for the very tip, which is a white blur because this happy girl is always wagging her tail. Julia has a thick white stripe on her head blending into a white snout, neck, and belly. If you can resist her cheerful attitude and the cute little freckles on her belly, you are stronger-willed than us! You are sure to be entertained by all of Julia’s classic puppy antics. She loves to jump, roll, and play with all eight (8!) of her siblings and would do well in a house with other dogs, or as the sole star of your attention. This litter was born in care, and Julia is one of the six girls of this litter (that also has three boys). Julia is currently just 3 months old and 16 pounds, and we think she may be a Black Mouth Cur/Boxer mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his/her life as well as the life of another in its place. Julia is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Story
Hi there, my name is Thorston, but they call me Thor. I'm a lovely 32-pound male pup, full-grown, at two years old. I have heartbreaking eyes and a very velvety black and white coat. I understand simple commands and am quite intelligent. I adore going on car rides; sleeping on a comfy, fluffy bed, and gazing out the window to enjoy the light. I enjoy other dogs, and don't bother the fluffy cat in my foster home. I enjoy the company of kids over age 10. I am housebroken, crate trained, and walk nicely on a leash. I sleep quietly in the kennel at night with the door open or closed, but I really like to curl up on the comfortable bed next to my foster mom. I currently work as my foster mom's shadow, yet she makes me feel protected and delivers the sweetest hugs and kisses. I'm seeking a family to take me on long walks, play ball (I do bring it back), and show me affection. I'm going to be a very happy boy and the best member of the family. So submit those applications; after seeing my images, I predict a bidding war for me, so don't wait! Currently fostered in Texas, he is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to travel to his forever home in the PNW or NE areas. Adoption fee includes transport to these states: WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, CT, VT, NY, PA, OH and BC Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA, approximately 30 minutes from the Canadian border). Brought by USDA licensed transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! Our dogs travel in style in our transport vehicle, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and onboard attendants providing 24-hour care. Local adoption in Texas is also available. Sadie is an absolute lady with a love of squeaky stuffies, tennis balls, and people! This amazing girl stole all our hearts with her ease and smiling face, we hope she reaches yours too! Fall in love with Sadie here: https://youtu.be/tknJVMR6Esw?si=4zf-rX2UMJOlctjm In rescue age and breed are details about a dog we can never know with 100% confidence but we believe Sadie is a boxer/lab mix and possibly 5 years old, weighing 40 lbs. Her face gives off an older look than her physical health and energy level show. Those details don’t speak to who Sadie is at her core though, this is a dog that only sees the goodness and reflects it right back. Everyone who met her commented that she “made my day” or “her happiness is contagious!” It was hard not be overwhelmed with a smile for seemingly no reason at all, no silly tricks or attention getters, just her company. She is something really special in this world and we can't even imagine how much more she will shine once she finds her forever family. Sadie’s easy-going nature can be seen in all her interactions- with other dogs she was friendly and content in their company, and with our house cat she was perfectly respectful. An ideal home for Sadie is one where napping is encouraged and dog-toys will be purchased. For a canine companion, Sadie would love an easy-going partner-in-chill and cats are welcome! Thanks to her calm and quiet nature, and size, Sadie would be a great fit for the apartment life or a house with a yard. All we think she absolutely needs is a family of her own and a home where she is loved! Sadie is great with kids, in her video she plays with a 6 year old. She’s gentle, patient and not easily overwhelmed by the sudden movements and loud noises that young children make. Sadie is also great with cats, not overly interested and happy to coexist. She’s a champion on leash, with enough stamina and interest to accompany you on long walks, but loves the indoor lifestyle enough to spend hours and hours snuggling on the couch. Sadie is a wonder-dog, and so thoroughly loved here at the rescue- we can’t wait to see her showered in the love of her forever family. Sadie does have a mild case of dry eye in one of her eyes, which is eased with daily drops, and six-month supply is included in her adoption. Learn more about Sadie’s eyes in her video. Sadie is available for adoption now! The sooner you get her home the sooner the love can start flowing! The best days of Sadie’s life are ahead of her and she can’t wait to spend them with you! If you have any questions about Sadie or would like us to test her for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
**Meet Sweet, Sweet Selma—Always Ready to Smile!** Selma is one of the most beloved dogs here at the rescue- a friend to all, a great emotional-support-dog to the other dogs at the rescue, trusting, loving and caring. Just look at that cute smirk—her smile could brighten anyone's day! With this cutie around, you will never feel lonely because she will want to be with you every chance she gets. **See her cuteness here:** [Watch Selma](https://youtu.be/oVABB6MvxtM) We estimate Selma is about 1 year old and possibly a Boxer and Shepherd mix, but with rescues, that’s just our best guess. She currently weighs around 50 lbs. Here at the rescue, Selma does well in a crate and has been great with her potty training since day one. A social butterfly through and through, Selma has never met a human she doesn’t like. Yelling, crying, rambunctious kids? No problem! She has so much love and compassion for people. On walks, when she sees a friend, she wiggles her body and gently heads their way to say hello, nuzzling her head into your arms, making it impossible to resist petting her soft fur. Selma is a boxer girl through and through, with other dogs, Selma will paw or play-bow to invite them to engage with her, and then begin a spirited game of chase. She’s a great player and does well with both aloof and playful males. That boxer nature also makes Selma an exceptionally calm dog, and a wonderful emotional-support-dog to her canine companions. In our rowdy boarding barn, Selma offers a calming presence and helps keep the energy down for our boarding dogs. Here at the rescue, she’s often a member of our “gentle play” play groups- groups for dogs that prefer a calmer playtime experience. She’ll play chase for a bit, with lots of breaks. She’s friendly, relaxed, respectful and caring with other dogs. When Selma is playing, she also remains fairly people focused, checking in with her people from time to time, and taking lots of breaks from playing to sniff around and re-assess her environment. Selma always knows what’s going on around her- that makes her such a pleasure to be around. Selma was found as a pregnant stray. While she was in our nursery barn tending to her babies, she loved when staff spent time with her. She enjoyed her daily bully stick and would carry it to one of the behavioral staff to hold for her. She’s starting to get the hang of being a home pup and is proudly learning to take treats gently. She’d also love to learn how to cook in the kitchen with you, so make sure your cookies are safely tucked away in their jars! She’s a dream on a leash and will be great to take on walks. Enjoying the flowers and the fresh air are her favorite parts of a stroll. Selma is silly and eagerly waiting to go to her forever home. Selma’s perfect home has at least one loving human to provide all of the pets and snuggle sessions she could ever want. She’s not too picky about the rest, just make sure that home doesn’t have any cats—Selma says “no thank you!” Selma is people-focused enough that she could thrive as an only dog, but so loving that she would be a fantastic addition to your pack. She loves kids and would make a great family dog. She’ll be happy to accompany you on walks, hikes and all of the adventures you take on. Currently fostered in Texas, she is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to travel to her forever home in the PNW or NE areas. So, what are you waiting for? Selma is ready to bring joy, laughter, and her contagious smile into your life! We are willing to test this dog with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you!
