Story
Marcus is an energetic, affectionate young dog with a big personality. He is playful, rowdy at times, and very people-oriented. After burning off some energy, he enjoys cuddling and being close to his people. Marcus is housebroken but not crate trained. When left without enough activity, he will get bored and result to puppy-habits, therefore we recommend that he be crate trained. He loves stuffed animals, playing fetch, and tug-of-war. He was surrendered due to no fault of his own (marital changes) and would benefit from basic training and structure. He does well with other dogs, though supervision is recommended with smaller dogs due to his rough play style. Marcus has been raised with a tiny infant and has had no issues, but the perfect home would have older kids who can keep up with his energy and enjoy active play.

Story
FOSTER OR ADOPTION NEEDED FOR TARYN We are urgently searching for a compassionate foster or adopter willing to open their heart and home to two senior dogs and deserve comfort, dignity, and love after unimaginable neglect. Troy and Taryn were found living in substandard conditions, suffering from severe malnutrition and starvation. Their bodies show the toll of prolonged neglect. One of them, Troy, had a stomach full of socks—so many that he was passing them for over a week, a heartbreaking sign of extreme hunger and desperation. Both dogs are elderly pit bull–type mixes, estimated to be 8 years old. Despite everything they’ve endured, they are friendly, loving, and deeply human-oriented. However, due to their history and age, they have understandable resource guarding and must be the only pets in the home. They should not be placed with other animals. They are currently still hospitalized at the veterinary clinic, receiving ongoing treatment. One or both may be suffering liver damage as a result of prolonged dehydration and starvation. Their future is uncertain—but what is certain is that they should not spend whatever time they have left in a kennel or hospital run. About the dogs: Taryn – Black and white, approximately 8 years old (the elder) Troy – Brown, approximately 7 years old (the one who ingested the socks) Both are affectionate, people-loving seniors Must be only pets due to age and resource guarding Ideal for a quiet, stable home willing to provide comfort care This is not a “fix them” situation. This is a plea for kindness, compassion, and a soft place to land. Whether it’s weeks or months, Troy and Taryn deserve to feel safe, warm, and loved. If you can open your home for foster or adoption, please apply immediately at: www.friendsfureveranimalrescue.net If you cannot help directly, please share. The right person is out there—and these two cannot wait.

Story
***NEEDS FOSTER or FOREVER HOME*** Currently in Boise boarding kennels ---SPECIAL NEEDS (deaf)--- SPARKLE is a sweet, adorable 7-year-old, 60-lb boxer-terrier mix 💖 girl who will require a pet-free home without young children. She seems to know some hand signals and enjoys her treats. Because she appears to have a bunch of different breeds in her, it might be fun to get her DNA tested. SPARKLE has a wonderful disposition towards all people that she knows, but she is quarrelsome when off-leash with other dogs and may not do well in big crowds/commotion. She has been good on pack walks. SPARKLE is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccines, so ready for her forever home. APPLICATION: https://forms.gle/U3UUbdpNzZVpxP9h8 BACKGROUND: Was taken in by Good Samaritan after her people abandoned her. Good Samaritan started having health issues, so SPARKLE was taken in July 2024. Owner died in August 2025.
