Hi, I'm Woody. My story didn't start out easy. I was found alone on a trail, severely underweight and covered in cuts and abrasions. I was skin and bones, and my face was especially injured — swollen, painful, and infected. But through all of the treatment and healing, I showed everyone what kind of dog I really am. I was the absolute best patient, and now that I've recovered, my personality has truly started to shine. I'm a handsome brindle-and-white Boxer mix who is quiet, gentle, calm, and incredibly laid-back. I love being petted, walk beautifully on a leash, and am perfectly content simply being beside someone who treats me kindly. I don't need to be the center of attention or keep you busy all day. I'm just a really good dog who enjoys the simple things — a nice walk, a gentle hand, and a person to call my own. Whatever happened before I found my way here is part of my past. I'm ready to leave it behind and spend the rest of my life surrounded by the love and kindness I deserve. If you're looking for a gentle, easygoing companion who will appreciate every bit of love you give him, come meet me. I'm ready for my forever home. Interested in adopting? This is our new friend, Smokey!Smokey is a boxer mix and, let me tell you folks, he loves to be around people. So long as there aren`t any milkbones, his attention is on his person nearby.He would love a home with someone to hold him through thunderstorms (they`re scary). Smokey is used to living with an older gentleman but is open to loving a person of ANY age.Smokey loves toys, treats, and other dogs!He gets quite excited around cats, so we advise caution if you were to take him into a home with one. Smokey would probably take some work to get used to a feline friend.Consider coming out to meet Smokey!!
