All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. Story
Meet Queen: The Hug-Demanding Diva Age: 9 years young Weight: 64 pounds of pure devotion Breed: Boxer, with a minor in comedy and cuddling Do you ever wish your dog loved you just a little too enthusiastically? Excellent. Queen has been preparing for you and is ready to claim her throne and her people. Queen lives by one unshakable rule: everyone gets a hug. Whether you’ve been gone for four hours or five minutes, she’ll greet you with full-body affection, paws and all, until your arms are wrapped around her. Resistance is futile—Queen’s hugs are non-negotiable, adorable, and guaranteed to brighten your day. She’s wonderful with kids, adores adults, and still outruns puppies. That’s right, this 9-year-old legend regularly embarrasses 6-month-olds in the Zoomie Olympics. Age is a number. Queen is an experience. Queen is a velcro dog. Wherever you go, she goes. Walking, road trips, snack supervision, emotional support during absolutely nothing. She’ll be there, gazing at you like you hung the moon and maybe dropped a crumb. She gets along with other dogs but would truly shine as the center of attention. After all, she’s waited patiently and earned the spotlight. A physically fenced yard is required for royal zoomies, and when it’s cold out, she expects a wardrobe befitting her status. Hoodies are mandatory. Fashion matters. Is your castle ready for its Queen? Queen is housetrained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested, and just had a dental. If you would like to meet Queen, please complete the adoption application on our website: www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Queen you can contact rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Indoor homes only. Adopters within two hours of Cedar Rapids, IA only, please. Adoption fee $300.

Story
- Loves people and companionship - Smart boy who knows sit- Enjoys spending time with dogs who have a similar play style- Does well on a leash - Tends to be an introvert around other dogs and may prefer one-on-one interactions or smaller groups of dog friends; may not be comfortable at dog parks or at large, dog-friendly events (dog intro recommended) - Shy pup who may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; will likely open up in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet home- May take some time to warm up to new dogs and may prefer some dogs over others; would be most comfortable with a slow introduction to new dogs (dog intro recommended) - Loves to learn and has great focus - especially if you have treats - so would be a lot of fun to train - Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for them (mature home recommended) All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Brown Weight: 75.4 Age: 1yrs 1mths 1wks

Story
Meet Fidgy!Fidgy is a 2-year-old, medium sized, boxer mix that came to AHeinz57 as a stray who had not been claimed. Since then, we have learned lots about her and her personality!Fidgy`s personality includes communicating like a dolphin, having the energy like a toddler on espresso, and the misunderstood love language of a velociraptor. If Fidgy loves you, she will attempt to nibble your limbs with the enthusiasm of someone trying to taste-test friendship. And her affection style? Bold, unapologetic, and slightly mouthy playstyle with a little sprinkle of bouncy. But here’s the twist, if you are to sit down and just be with her, Fidgy transforms. The jumping stops. The squeaking softens. She’ll curl up beside you, let you pet her, and gaze at you like you’re the only human in the world. She may question if you might still taste good, but she’ll hold back. She loves to meet new people, and with treats involved, she learns to become fast friends! Due to her mouthiness, young children may not be the best fit for her and older children may understand that she is just trying to be playful. We are still learning how she would do around other dogs, so if there are others in the home, proper introductions would be needed to make sure that it is the right fit. As for cats, a home without would be best, as she thinks they are just fun, interactive, squeaky toys. We do recommend a fence for her while she is learning to be around other dogs, but it is not required. With her being pretty vocal, she would do best without shared wallsIf you would like to still meet with her despite her quirks, please fill out an application online or ask to come visit her in one of our playrooms. Some information may change as we get to know her better.
