- Prefers to explore and do their own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once they're in a home environment and have had time to decompress - Loves going on walks and does best with a harness- Smart boy who knows sit- Tends to be socially awkward with other dogs (dog intro required)- Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for them (mature home recommended) The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing a primary breed. Meet Picasso & Marmalade 🍊 If these two puppies could talk, they’d tell quite the story. Picasso and Marmalade were found abandoned at a mattress dump, sick, starving, and struggling to survive. Thanks to lots of care, good food, and love, those difficult days are behind them, and now they’re ready to start the next chapter of their lives: finding forever families. At just 8 weeks old, these adorable pups are as sweet as can be. We believe they may be Staffie/Boxer mixes, which means they're likely to grow into loyal, fun-loving companions with plenty of personality. 🍊 Marmalade is the more reserved of the pair. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her a few minutes and you'll see her sweet, loving personality shine through. She's still building her confidence and learning that the world isn't such a scary place. 🎨 Picasso is the adventurous one. He's curious about everything and is usually the first to investigate a new toy, explore a new corner of the yard, or see what's happening around him. He's playful, happy, and always ready for a little adventure. Both puppies are affectionate, playful, and soaking up all the love they can get. After everything they've been through, they deserve families who will show them what a safe, happy life looks like. Ready to add a little color to your life? Picasso and Marmalade are waiting to paint your world with puppy kisses, wagging tails, and unconditional love.
