***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the adoption application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** Princess has not always had a life of gentleness or softness.  She came to us emaciated and having just delivered a litter of puppies.  Many of which didn't survive due to her condition and the situation as a whole.  We want nothing more than for her previous life to only be a distant memory. Our wish is for all good things for her from here on out.  Soft beds, nutritious food, plenty of toys, no chaos and only love and gentle pets.  Princess is open to meeting new dogs and we think she would do well with a companion dog or as a solo pupper.  We have not had her around the cats but we could test her if that was needed.  She is very gentle and doesn't jump so children would just mean more people to give her love!!!  We believe her to be about 5 years old.  We don't know why she tilts her head but we have had several xrays done and nothing seems abnormal.  Its likely one of those things we may never understand and she can't tell us.  Princess is about 45 pounds, spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $275.00 May 27, 2026, 8:22 pm

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** Chase is the name of this sweet and adorable pup.  We are told he is a Dalmatian/boxer mix and is about 4 months old.  The family that had gotten him decided they were not ready for a puppy.  While we can understand that puppies are a lot of work because frankly they really are, we want Chase's next family to be his last so please before applying do some research on the Dalmatian breed and be prepared for bringing home a high energy pup!  Chase is a lovely boy who is already very eager to do what the humans ask of him.  He is still working on the potty training thing so having patience and a consistent schedule for him will be important while he learns this important skill.  Chase loves other dogs, doesn't like the cold and loves toys!  He is cautious when meeting new people and because of this we would encourage any new family to actively work at helping Chase have new positive experiences and to meet new people in a safe and friendly way.  Dalmatians are sensitive dogs that need quite a bit of exercise and socialization to be well balanced dogs.  Chase will likely be about 60 pounds when grown and be very athletic so while he will likely love some couch cuddle time it will only be after a good run or good interactive play session. Chase is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.  He will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract and his adoption fee is $300.00.  Are you ready for a spunky boy with lots of love to give that has big feelings and is ready to go for a run or perhaps a ride in your fire truck should you happen to have one of those???  March 7, 2026, 6:20 pm

Meet June — or as we lovingly call her, Momma June! June came to us as an unclaimed stray, very pregnant and unsure of what was next. Just a few days later, she delivered 11 beautiful puppies. Sadly, we lost three, but through it all June was strong, patient, and such a devoted mama. She gave those babies everything she had. And when her nursing days were over? She said, “My work here is done!” and was more than ready to enjoy being just June again. Now it’s her turn. June is an absolute lover. She thrives on attention, soaks up every pet, and has the wickedest tail wag you’ve ever seen — it never stops! She’s great with other dogs and loves to play, showing off her fun, happy personality. We’re unsure how she is with cats or kids at this time. After everything she’s given, June deserves a home where she can be the one being cared for, spoiled, and loved endlessly. She’s done her mama duties — now she’s ready to be someone’s baby.

Meet Axel, our lovable 3-year-old sweetheart! He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he’s all tail wags and smiles. Axel adores people and soaks up every bit of attention—he may even jump for love, but we’re helping him learn his manners! He enjoys playing outside with his buddy Caesar, who came from the same home, and he’s all about toys and treats. Axel lived with kids previously and has done well, though we’re still unsure about cats. He’s a wonderful dog with so much love to give—Axel is ready for his forever family!
