You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact info@petadoptionservices.org for more information about this pet. 8week old. Current on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Current on flea preventative and heartworm preventative.  For a puppy under 6 months old, please note that we are looking for homes where someone is home frequently, or that arrangements have been made for someone to come home at least once during the day to allow the dog to go out for a potty break. Puppies should remain socialized to other dogs in their formative stages, so homes that can provide exposure to fully vaccinated and healthy well-behaved adult dogs is strongly preferred. A fenced yard is required due to this puppy's age and need for further vaccinations prior to being exposed to areas where stray dogs may have access. Due to unknown breeding, this puppy may be more or less than the estimated weight range listed here. Interested families should be open to a varied weight range, and consider both in terms of housing restrictions and personal preference. Landlords may have breed and weight restrictions. It is the responsibility of renters to have spoken with their landlord and reviewed their lease agreement and to have this information available for the application.  *Local adoptions (within 1 hour of New Orleans). We do NOT ship animals. Home check is required, therefore, we will be delivering this dog to your home. If you have read the information in the links provided above and think that this dog is a fit for your lifestyle and home, please completed a   Dog Adoption Application Our adoptions include a foster period of 4-6 weeks so that you can be sure that this pet is a good fit without any pressure, and we are available to answer any behavior or training questions during that time (and beyond, if you wish). Story
** Please read to the end to learn how to adopt! Gus is an adorable and affectionate Boxer mix who is eager to find his forever home.  He has turned out to be THE best boy and is loved by everyone that meets him!   He is an intelligent dog who is good with other dogs and is loyal to those around him. This handsome boy has been fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and tested Negative for heartworms!!   He was about 62 pounds when rescued from the streets, and he is still thin.  We believe he is approximately 2 years old, maybe less.  He sometimes still urinates like a puppy and he's so curious about Everything... sneaks up on anything unfamiliar.  It's so cute to watch! Gus is house-trained and he knows 'sit.'  He takes treats very gently from your hand and will give you big kisses in return.  He's playful, but will happily chill with you on the couch, too ! He is good with other dogs and children.  He's an all-around great dog and has many years ahead to fill your life with love and fun!   If you're looking for a sweet and friendly dog,Gus is the one for you!    Please apply to Foster OR Adopt Gus by completing the online application you will find near his photos on our website,  www.BaytownHumaneSociety.org
