Story
My father passed away 12/24/2025 at 4:19am surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with cancer. He left two dogs, his wish was that they were well taken care of. My father has never known a bad dog; they could ugly, mean, and (as most dogs are) a pain in the rear and he would say the same thing about them. Oh they're good dogs! Sissy is the dog we are hoping to get adopted, she's still fairly young around 4 years old. Currently lives on a 40 acre property and likes to go out and run but likes to sleep in doors and get some cuddles. She does get along with other dogs but it takes her awhile to warm up to them, she'll start off scared and shy and might snap if they get her in to a corner but does start to warm up after about a week or two. When she gets bored she often gets what we call "sissy" fits where she rolls around and screams at whoever will give her attention. I had more here but ran out of room. Please love her. Please care for her.

Contact SaveMeAdoptMe@gmail.com or text or leave a message at 573-512-2102 for an application. The adoption donation of $175.00 covers spay / neuter, vaccinations, microchip, deworming, and current monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention. Sweet Scooby-Doo is scheduled to be fixed. Once healed he will be ready for his new home. He is about 65 lb, est 2 1/2 years old, and not sure of his breed. I don't know his breed but guessing maybe some Rhodesian Ridgeback or Mastiff or Lab or Boxer or Bully ?? Pretty sure he would not be good with chickens. Also, not sure about cats. Maybe once he's settled in he will be less interested. I was told he is fine with other dogs, but I have not had him with any of mine because he is much younger and exuberant and they are older and not interested. It seems like he would love to play with them and he likes to play and throw around his toys. He is doing well sleeping in a crate at night. I use an Easy Leader head harness and he does well with that. He was not used to being on leash and is just too strong for me with a regular leash. He seems to be a good rider and gets in and out of the vehicle on his own.All animals must be neutered/spayed prior to finalization of adoption. All animals will be microchipped and have the appropriate vaccinations for the age of the animal. All animals will be treated for worms and flea/tick prevention.
