Story
We are looking to rehome due to life changes. We have a newborn and 2yo and struggle to give him the attention and exercise he needs to be happy. He is a sweet boy, almost 7 year old, loves walks, non-reactive, independent dog. He has a small female dog housemate that is bossy and he does well with her. He tried doggy daycare but we were told he didn’t like it. He likes his solitude and ability to have a space without being bothered. He will come cuddle when he wants. We’ve had him since he was two, not sure of his past but can be a bit timid. Our only concern with small children, he is not a “gentle” dog, meaning if he gets spooked or doesn’t pay attention, he has ran into our toddler. Otherwise, he’s a good dog to chill in garage, take for walks, doesn’t care about people or other dogs. He would need a family that knows the boxer personality and their energy. He gets very excited for walks, and does have spurts of energy. He doesn’t like his nail trimmed.
