Story
Interviewer: Thank you, Gus, for agreeing to this interview. Let`s get right to it, shall we? Tell me about your likes, your hobbies.Gus: I like to eat, of course, go for walks (or runs) and smell things. I like belly rubs, soft blankets and beds. My #1 hobby right now is ripping up boxes. But, to be honest, I`m still trying to figure out what I like. I haven`t had much exposure to anything the first 2 years of my life. Interviewer: Are you high energy or needy?Gus: I don`t think so. I definitely like to play and run. And I love a good pet and cuddle. But I think I`m pretty balanced. After a good walk, I`m ready for a nap. I`ll sleep in my crate or on my bed. Interviewer: Do you have any physical or mental health issues? Gus: Definitely no physical - healthy as a horse. Mentally, however, I`ve been on anxiety meds in the past but don`t take them anymore, just the occasional calming treat. I had a rough first two years of my life so I have some insecurities and fears. Because of that I am initially a little shy but then I bond closely.Interviewer: What do you think can help with that? Gus: A predictable routine and environment and a calm loving hand.Interviewer: Besides those things, how would you describe your perfect home?Gus: I`d LOVE to have a playful canine companion. I feel more comfortable with another dog around. I don`t mind cats either, as long as they don`t mind me. I`d prefer a lower traffic household and somebody who just wants to hang out on the couch with me..Interviewer: That sounds reasonable and doable. We just have to reach the right heart(s). Thank you for your time, Gus. I hope you find your new family soon.

Story
Hi, I’m Libby, a lovely Boxer mix with a soft heart and a very sweet way about me. I can be a little timid when we first meet, but give me a little kindness and some gentle pets, and you’ll see me start to relax and lean into your affection. Once I feel safe, I’m the kind of girl who wants to trust and be close. I’m 3.5 years old, 44 pounds, and already spayed, so I’m ready to head home with my new family. I came to the shelter when the people who had me could no longer care for me, but I’m looking ahead now. I tested well with both dogs and cats, which could make me a wonderful fit for a home that wants a calm, gentle companion with a little extra tenderness in her soul. If you have a soft spot for the shy ones, I just might be your girl. There is something really special about earning the love of a dog like me, and I think the person who gives me that chance is going to get a loyal best friend in return. Libby's adoption fee is $275. Story
Meet Hera! This big, beautiful girl is approximately 3 years old and full of love! We believe Hera may be a Boxer/Great Dane mix, but we can’t say for sure — we just know she’s 100% amazing. Hera would do best in a home with no kids, where she can relax and be the queen she was born to be. She’s ready to find a calm, loving home that will give her the structure and affection she deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart (and an equally big presence!), Hera might just be your girl! --- THIS IS HOW THE ADOPTION PROCESS WILL WORK: Please send an e-mail to euclidpetpals2@yahoo.com if are interested in dog. Once we receive your e-mail, we will forward you a pre-screening questionnaire. Once all pre-screening questionnaires have been reviewed, you will be contacted, IF CHOSEN, to schedule a meet and greet. Please note, adoptions are NOT on a first come, first served basis. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE SHELTER DIRECTLY OR MESSAGE US ON FACEBOOK. WE WILL NOT RESPOND TO ANY FACEBOOK MESSAGES OR PHONE CALLS. Let’s help Hera find her forever home!

Story
We are taking applications for Miss Juno. This sweet little wiggle butt wants to wiggle her way right into your heart and home. She is a spayed female boxer mix. She is up to date on vaccines & vetting. She is very playful, with a quiet cuddly side. She is about 50 lbs, and aprox 1.5 years old. Gets along with other pups and is good around kids. She is in training currently, to learn how to harness her boundless energy & gain some leash manners. She knows some basic commands & is working on “leave it”. Her foster mom has had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. She is crate trained and house broken. She would be your perfect adventure dog, as she likes going for a swim in the river. If you are interested in this fantastic girl, please fill out an application on our website.
