Story
We are taking applications for Miss Juno. This sweet little wiggle butt wants to wiggle her way right into your heart and home. She is a spayed female boxer mix. She is up to date on vaccines & vetting. She is very playful, with a quiet cuddly side. She is about 50 lbs, and aprox 1.5 years old. Gets along with other pups and is good around kids. She is in training currently, to learn how to harness her boundless energy & gain some leash manners. She knows some basic commands & is working on “leave it”. Her foster mom has had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. She is crate trained and house broken. She would be your perfect adventure dog, as she likes going for a swim in the river. If you are interested in this fantastic girl, please fill out an application on our website.

Story
Dog sitting and owner never returned. This has been difficult because we are not a pet family. The dog housed in garage, he seems to prefer to be outside. He does not like the basement and will not go down there. He is playful and I little clumsy. He has not shown any aggressive behavior towards any of our guest including children. He has gotten out of the yard a couple times, once he was sitting at bus stop with kids he did not know. When people walk dogs by the fence he runs back and forth barking. I think he is a sweet dog but we can't manage him. We tried to get him in a no kill shelter and was not able to. We have many family events at the home with different people and again no issues

Story
Say hello to Little Dough Boy! He is a 1 year old Boxer mix who weighs about 48 pounds. Little Dough Boy is an energetic and social boy who is always ready to play. He is still a young dog, so he has plenty of energy and would love someone that can match his gregarious personality! He is your typical puppy who can be mouthy and rowdy at times, but once he settles down, he is the ultimate snuggle bug. Little Dough Boy loves his food and his toys and doesn`t like sharing, so he needs an adopter that can respect his space when he has his treasures.Little Dough Boy is very uncomfortable with other dogs so he would need to be the only dog in the home. He cannot live with cats, so he will need to be the only animal in his forever home so he can soak up all of your love and affection. If there are kids in his forever home, they would need to be ages 13 and older so they can handle him rambunctious personality. If Little Dough boy sounds like the pup for you, stop in today to meet this bundle of energy!

Story
Meet Rocky! This 12-year-old Boxer mix may be a senior, but he still has plenty of love (and appetite!) to share. Weighing around 45 pounds, Rocky is a gentle, sensitive soul who just needs a little time to feel safe in new situations. Once he warms up, you’ll discover a sweet, affectionate companion who’s always ready for some tasty snacks and well-earned pets.Rocky is looking for a calm, understanding home that will respect his need to take things at his own pace. Because of his sensitive nature, he would do best in a home with kids ages 13 and older who can give him space and understand his boundaries. When it comes to other dogs, Rocky prefers to keep things low-key. He’s more of a coexist kind of guy than a playmate, so he’d do best with a dog who shares that relaxed vibe. Slow, thoughtful introductions to any future canine companions will be important to help him feel comfortable and confident. At this time, we’re not sure how Rocky feels about cats.If you’re looking for a mellow, kind-hearted companion to share quiet moments and cozy days, Rocky might just be your perfect match. Stop in today at The Humane Society of Summit County to meet him!

Story
We adopted zak about a year ago, and for first 6 months he was amazing. Easy to train, food motivated, but his anxiety progressively got bad over time and it has caused him to start a aggressive behavior towards our female. Our other male he is perfectly fine with, and during walks and training sessions they are all perfect angels in when they are at a relaxed state we had to start separating them. Tried different trainers and behaviorist, went to seminars but everything we have tried either made it worse or didn't work at all. We dont want him to be put down cause he is such a wonderful boy by himself. We just need help, and want to find him a good forever home cause we cant seem to help him with his issue.
