She may be shy at first, but behind those cautious eyes is the sweetest soul just waiting to feel safe. She’s the kind of dog who finds joy in the simple things like cozy couch naps, soft comfy beds, and being close to her people once she knows she can trust you. When she bonds, she bonds deeply. She doesn’t need the spotlight, she just wants a calm home where she can exhale and finally relax. Because she didn’t receive much socialization as a puppy, the world can still feel a little overwhelming. She’ll need a patient, understanding adopter who will give her time to decompress and come to her own conclusions that life isn’t so scary after all. Dog experience is preferred, or a commitment to working with a professional trainer to help her continue building confidence and life skills. She is not safe with cats or small dogs. Children are still to be determined and will be tested soon, we would reccomend older children. This sweet girl isn’t looking for perfection, she’s looking for patience. She’s looking for someone who sees past the shyness and recognizes the loyal, gentle companion she’s becoming.
