Story
Meet Elwood! This boy is what we call a trifecta. He is dog, cat & kid friendly. He's a mix of maybe Boxer/Pittie/Shepherd, weighs about 54 lbs., and about 8 years young. Elwood came to us with horrible skin issues but is looking so much better. This boy has interesting teeth which makes his smile even more adorable. Elwood walks well on a leash and is looking for a home where his owners are home a lot or he can go with them. In his first foster home he lived with two little dogs and a three- legged cat and is currently fostered with a smaller to medium size dog. He also got to meet our big boy Zander and the two were fast friends. Elwood has a calm energy about him that says "I'm here & I want to be your friend."
He is currently with a foster family in Vancouver, WA! This is what his foster momma has to say: "Elwood isn't a crate fan but once he's in, he's quiet. He hasn't had any accidents and was allowed to sleep on the couch overnight and he didn't get up once. Elwood hasn't shown any food aggression, in fact he doesn't eat all at once, he leaves some and goes back later. He isn't a marker and we haven't had any counter surfing. He has the cutest little grr he does, I think it's for attention and he loves to follow Paul around. He's good on walks but did get spooked by a couple loud cars and wanted to return home. He did play chase with Sadie earlier but was kind of winded afterwards she's hard to keep up with. He's actually a very sweet boy likes to give kisses, he's very laid back, and has a cute smile. Elwood got to have a water day and really enjoyed the water on the hot day."
