Story
Meet Macy!Macy came into the shelter September 29th surrendered by her owner who was unable to keep her in their yard. We believe it was that the yard was in need of some serious repair, we have had no issues with her at the shelter in our yards.Macy lived with other dogs and has done well with other dogs we have introduced her to here at the shelter. She can be a little shy with new people but with not a lot of time, she comes out of her shell and will enjoy a pet and likely lick your hands clean. She has done really well on a leash. Far warning, when she is tired, she will plop down right in front of you and show you her belly as if to tell you “ok, I’m done rub my belly!”.We think she is likely potty trained. She keeps her kennel clean and does seem to wait for her turn in the yard. She likes treats especially a kong filled with peanut butter and other snacks.Come meet Macy today at the Alpine Animal Services Shelter, 2900 Old Marathon Hwy Alpine, TX 79830.

Dahlia arrived at the shelter very scared but, after less than a few days, the staff was able to get Dahila more comfortable, and her true sweet nature came out.Dahlia prefers companionship of either her person or another dog. She is great with other dogs and will go out of her way to meet one. She is doing well with leash training and enjoys going for walks with staff and volunteers. Dahlia is a fast learner and seems to be almost potty trained, she follows commands well and is very smart and understanding. Our staff says that their favorite characteristics are she is sweet, loving, adorable and a cuddle bug.Come meet Dahlia at the Alpine Animal Services Shelter, 2900 Old Marathon Hwy Alpine, TX 79830.

Story
Meet Kimi!Kimi came into the shelter found stray in the city limits of Alpine. Since day one she has been so friendly and happy to meet anyone who will say hello. She has been in play group with other dogs and she plays really well! She is patient, fun and just likes to have a good time with others. She walks pretty well on a leash, still pulls when she is excited but does settle down when corrected. She is very potty trained; she will wait for her torn in the yard. She also knows sit! Kimi is a very smart and trainable dog. Our staff says that she is loveable but also independent, has a hyena bark, yep that’s what they said, and the cutest floppy ears. Come meet Kimi today at the Alpine Animal Services Shelter, 2900 Old Marathon Hwy Alpine, TX 79830.
