Meet Sunshine ☀️🐾
Sunshine is a sweet 1-year-old Pit Bull mix with so much love to give. She can be timid when meeting new people or experiencing unfamiliar things, but once she realizes she's safe, she warms up quickly and becomes completely devoted to her person. Cuddling is her absolute favorite, and she's happiest following her people around, curling up beside them, and being part of whatever they're doing.
Her foster describes her as a wonderful, incredibly smart dog who learns quickly. Sunshine is fully potty trained and crate trained and walks beautifully on a leash with very minimal pulling. She knows sit, paw/shake, high five, kennel, and leave it, and she's currently working on down and roll over!
Sunshine is playful without being overwhelming. She loves toys, enjoys fetch, plays gently with people, and can happily entertain herself before coming back for some attention and snuggles.
She gets along well with dogs and cats and has really enjoyed having another foster dog, Spaghetti, around. She plays well with him and has even taken on a bit of a motherly role with him. ❤️
Sunshine is a sensitive girl who can startle at unexpected noises, movements, or unfamiliar objects, but her foster has already seen improvement in this area as her confidence continues to grow. She just needs a little reassurance while she learns that the world isn't such a scary place.
In her crate, Sunshine generally settles well and only tends to whine or bark when she's ready to go outside in the morning or hears something happening in another room.
Sunshine really is a sweet, sensitive girl who wants a person she can trust and love with her whole heart. She's smart, affectionate, playful, and already has so many of the skills that make transitioning into a new home easier.
