Story
Bella’s story is pretty common around these parts. She was always chained to a tree outside and of course not spayed and bred by any loose dog that came around. At 4 years old, she had already produced several litters of unknown parentage. She was chained and couldn’t get away from any old dog. As you can see at the end of the video, not much care was taken of her or her pups. Most probably succumbed to worms, parvo and just careless neglect. That would have been this litters fate too….except that Bella’s owner died. So she came into BMAR’s sight and that was the end of that mess. We are happy to say that all of Bella’s pups survived, vaccinated, fixed and adopted…the cycle ended with them. But not Bella…she is black and Black Dog Syndrome was against her. She is also not dog friendly…can you blame her? After 4 years chained to a tree and allowed any loose dog (there are many) to come by and fight with her, steal her meager food, and breed her? Wonder she survived at all. Bella has been here 5 years and is now 9 years old. Bella is people friendly and smart. She craves attention…just pitiful to think that this fine boxer has lived her life in rescue after being so badly neglected by the “normal” mentality around here for the her first 4 years. She has received more good will from complete strangers that have never even met her than she ever did from her owner. Al Turnauer saw Bella when she first came in and sent her boat loads of excellent food for her and her 6 puppies. Spent vet money on her and her little family getting them all fixed up. He’s out of state and never met Bella. More recently Catherine Marcucci saw her little chewed up hand me down house and sent her a spanking new Igloo complete with door which Bella loved instantly. Catherine is on the East Coast…she’s never met Bella either. Bella, like so many others here deserves better. It’s not that we don’t love her…we just think that she deserves a home and a person of her own before her end of days. She’s 9 years old…she’s a senior. So we are looking for a senior who has a lot of love to give a senior girl who needs to be the only dog in the home. We will get her there…and we need her fees sponsored to do it. We need $600 + a little vet fees to make it happen. AND we need to find the right person to send her to. Do you know someone that would give her a great home? We can’t have her starved or abused ever again or that would defeat us to see our beautiful sad girl mistreated one more time. You can help by donating to sponsor her fees and you can help by thinking about who to share this post to. Help us find Bella a real home.

Story
Meet Brownie: Your Potential New Best Friend About Brownie Brownie is a delightful 2-year-old canine companion with a heart as big as his 68-pound frame. A handsome mix of Black Mouth Cur and Boxer, Brownie has found himself in need of a new home after his previous owner could no longer care for him. Fortunately, instead of facing an uncertain future, Brownie was quickly taken in by a caring shelter that saw his potential and were committed to finding him a loving family and transferred him to Barking Mad Animal Rescue. Brownie's Personality Brownie is the epitome of a "good boy" with a gentle and friendly demeanor. He adores playing with stuffed toys and is well-behaved on a leash, making him an excellent partner for walks in the park or neighborhood strolls. He's also a great travel companion, enjoying car rides and new adventures. Social Skills One of Brownie's standout qualities is his social nature. He gets along well with other dogs and humans alike. While he is incredibly friendly, his size and occasional clumsiness mean that he might be better suited to families with older children rather than very small ones, just to ensure everyone's safety and comfort. Health and Wellness Brownie's health is a top priority, and he comes fully vetted. He has received all necessary vaccinations, is microchipped for safety, and has been neutered. Importantly, he is heartworm negative, ensuring a healthy foundation for his new life with you. Adoption Opportunities Brownie is currently available for foster or adoption through Barking Mad Animal Rescue. He is eagerly waiting for his forever home and can be transported to meet his new family soon. Whether you're looking for a loyal companion or a friendly addition to your family, Brownie could be the perfect match. How to Adopt If you're interested in bringing Brownie into your life, please reach out to Barking Mad Animal Rescue. They can provide you with more details about the adoption process and help facilitate a smooth transition for Brownie into his new home. By adopting Brownie, you'll be giving a deserving dog a second chance at happiness and gaining a loyal friend who will bring joy and love into your life. Don't miss the opportunity to meet this wonderful pup!
