Meet LHS’s Moo Deng! You may remember Moo Deng, the viral pygmy hippo from a few months back. And while this handsome Boxer is no chubby hippo, he did have an unfortunate medical problem that made his rump quite plump. This poor guy had two large hernias but he’s feeling much better now after surgery and treatment! He has a little more healing to do, but what better place to heal than in the comfort of a home! Moo Deng is such a sweet and gentle boy. He is fantastic on a leash, and our staff love him. How can you not fall in love with those big brown eyes? At 6 years old he is the perfect mix between the typical Boxer playfulness and a chill couch potato. We are closed today (4/18) But if you’d like to meet this special boy, just stop by the Lynchburg Humane Society and ask for Moo Deng!

Meet Tyson! Tyson is a 10 month old male fawn boxer mixed puppy. He is a bundle of enthusiasm. He loves his toys and especially loves chew toys specifically. He is updated on his vaccinations but hasn't been neutered. He would prefer to be with an active family and does best with older kids in the house. He would love to have a back yard where he can run and play freely to get his energy out and stretch his legs from time to time. He is crate trained and will potty on pads or go outside too! Sometimes he gets nervous when his favorite people aren't by his side, but he does very well with calming chews to help him out from time to time.
