Hey there, I’m Yogi Bear – but you can call me Yogi! I’m a handsome 10-year-old Boykin spaniel weighing 39 pounds of pure athletic energy and enthusiasm! If you’re looking for an active adventure buddy who’s always ready for fun, you’ve found your match. My ideal home would include a fenced yard where I can run and chase after balls – and let me tell you, I am BALL-OBSESSED! Like, seriously obsessed. It’s my passion, my hobby, my life’s work! Toss one and I’ll chase it forever. I do need a good dose of daily exercise to keep me happy, so if you love being active and outdoors, we’re going to get along great! Now, I’m a sweet and loving boy with a bit of an independent streak, so I’ll do best with an experienced dog person who appreciates a pup with personality! I’m ok with other dogs at the park or on walks, but at home, I like to be the star of the show and have all the attention to myself. So I’m looking for a one-dog kind of household. No cats and no kids for me either, please. I’m fully house-trained, perfectly fine hanging out solo while you’re away, and overall a pretty easygoing guy. Fair warning though: loud noises and thunder aren’t my jam, so I’ll need your comfort during stormy weather! Hi friends! I’m Arthur, a 10-year-old cocker spaniel mix boy with a gorgeous coat and a full tail that wags non-stop! I’m 30lbs of pure sweetness looking for my happily ever after. My story is pretty wild – I was found as a stray in an overcrowded California shelter the week before Christmas, and I was pretty sick. But a Good Samaritan couldn’t leave me behind, rescued me, and brought me all the way to Florida where I was nursed me back to health! Now FCCR is helping find me my forever home. I LOVE people (including older dog-savvy kids) and would do best in a calm household where someone’s around most of the day. I’m a total lovebug who adores being with my humans! I will roll over for belly rubs whenever anyone talks to me…even in an elevator and that’s how I greet my foster mom when she comes home. It’s my signature move…i roll over to collect my tummy tax! That said, I do fine when left home alone too. I’m fully housebroken, polite (no barking or chewing!), and I have excellent house manners. I wait to be invited onto furniture and take treats so gently. I love to explore, love to run, and love to cuddle. I get along with other calm dogs but don’t know about cats. I walk great on a leash even near busy streets, and I’m super chill – loud noises don’t faze me one bit! Here’s what you need to know about me: I have great hearing but have limited vision (blind in one eye, limited in the other). I am a pretty confident guy and I can map out my surroundings quickly but I’m not comfortable with staircases (a few steps are fine). I take daily eye drops like an absolute champ! I Because of my eyesight, I would do best with a calm doggie sibling who doesn’t mind me getting really close to them. Conversely if a dog startles me by getting too close (even just to be friendly) I may bark and retreat — it can be a little scary when someone is in your face. You know, personal space and all. MEET LAINEY! Hi there! I’m Lainey and I’m a 7.5-year-old Cocker Spaniel beauty weighing just 25lbs of pure joy and wiggle power! I came all the way from South Carolina to Florida for my fresh start. Here’s what makes me special: I have the BIGGEST smile that matches my BIG heart. My tail wags so hard my whole body wiggles—I just can’t help it! Woof! My name is Sounder, and I’m a 12.5-year-old cocker spaniel boy looking for my forever home where I can spend my golden years being loved. Life hasn’t always been easy for me. My previous owner loved me but couldn’t take care of me anymore, and I arrived to rescue in rough shape. Nothing too big - I have those classic Cocker skin and ear issues and I take an easy medication for my thyroid. I went to the vet and getting all fixed up…I’m going to be just fine! I do need to shed a few pounds (I’m 30 lbs of pure love right now), but I’m working on it. I need a family who can help me maintain a healthy diet and exercise regimen. Here’s what you need to know about me: I’m the ultimate companion dog aka Velcro cocker. I will follow you everywhere—and I mean EVERYWHERE. Kitchen, bathroom, living room… wherever you are is where I want to be. My vision and hearing aren’t what they used to be (just part of being a distinguished senior gentleman), but that doesn’t slow me down one bit! I have a couple of adorable signature moves — I love to lean my whole body against you like I’m giving you the biggest hug, and if we’re in the car together (which I LOVE), I’ll put my paw right on your hand (I’m a great passenger). When I hear sirens, I become a cocker spaniel fire truck and howl along with perfect pitch until they’re gone. I’ll also be your official kitchen assistant and taste tester (and I take treats gently), always positioned right under your feet hoping for a little something delicious! I get along great with other dogs and older, dog-savvy kids. I’m good on a leash, I don’t jump on the furniture, and I sleep peacefully in my own bed at night. I’m still learning the housebreaking thing (we’re making progress!), and I’m not into toys much—I just want YOU. I need someone who’s home most of the time because being alone isn’t really my thing. What I DO need is patience, love, and someone who understands that us senior pups have so much love left to give.
