Story
Hi ya, I’m Georgie! I’m a 4-year-old, 26 lb Cocker Spaniel boy, and I’m basically a fun-loving goofball wrapped in a beautiful coat! Let me tell you about myself! I’m the kind of guy who lives life at full speed with maximum enthusiasm. I’m happy, playful, and I LOVE being in your face because you’re just so awesome! When I’m in the yard, I turn into a silly acrobat—I run around like a whirlwind, jump up to get your attention, and chase lizards like it’s my Olympic sport! Spoiler alert: I haven’t caught one yet, but that doesn’t stop me from trying! I’m good with other dogs and would absolutely LOVE an active doggie sibling to match my energy and keep up with all my shenanigans. I have good house manners and I don’t mind the crate. I’m super excited to ride in the car (road trip buddy right here!), and I’m very food motivated, which means training with treats is going to be a breeze for us! Full transparency: I pull on the leash because I just get SO excited about everything, but with some leash training from my new owner, I’ll be walking like a gentleman in no time! Here’s the important stuff: I need a cocker-savvy adopter or family who understands my breed and can handle my high energy and enthusiasm. I’m not a good fit for homes with kids—I need a household that can give me the structure and attention I thrive on. If you’re looking for a silly, playful, lizard-chasing companion who will keep you laughing and on your toes, I’m your guy! Visit www.floridacockerrescue.org to apply! ADOPTION FEE: $350

Hey there, future best friend! The name’s Bob, and at 9 years young, I’m proof that life gets better with age! This handsome reddish buff coat and my perfect 27-pound snuggle size have made me quite the catch around here! My world may be mostly quiet - I can’t hear much except really loud sounds - but that just means I’m an excellent listener with my eyes! I’ve mastered hand signals like a furry genius and follow simple commands perfectly. Who needs ears when you’ve got this much charm? I recently discovered my playful side again! You’ll catch me chasing around the house with slippers in my mouth (oops were those yours?) or playfully engaging my humans or foster siblings. It’s like I’m a puppy again! But don’t worry - I still love my afternoon naps and leisurely strolls around the neighborhood. Breakfast and dinner? Those are MY times to shine! If you are not sure what time it is, I will absolutely remind you if you’re running late with my meals. A guy’s gotta eat! I’m the friendliest fellow - I like other dogs and probably cat-savvy kitties, and new humans instantly become my best friends. I am always available for head and belly rub sessions! Looking for a low-key companion who loves car rides, gentle walks, and all the treats life has to offer? I’m your guy! Just remember - no crates please (they scare me), and I’d prefer not to be alone too long. I’m much better company than Netflix anyway! Ready to fall in love? Send in your application today — go to www.floridacockerrescue.org. ADOPTION FEE: $295

Story
**Meet Jackson** Well hello there! I’m Jackson, a strikingly handsome 9-year-old Cocker Spaniel boy weighing in at 33lbs, and I’m on the hunt for my forever home! Now, I know what you’re thinking – “Wow, what a good-looking fella!” – and you’re absolutely right! But trust me, my charm goes way deeper than just these movie-star looks! Let me tell you what my foster mommy says about me. I’ve got impeccable house manners, and I am a smarty and know my basic commands. I love to go on walks but need a quiet neighborhood (no city life for me!) where there aren’t a lot of other dogs — I am reactive to other dogs passing by, but my foster mommy is working with me and I know I can get better. I also let her know when other doggies or people pass by the house…I’m a good protector! After spending lots of time with other dogs, I realize I do better and feel better when it’s just me with my humans. I love their one-on-one attention and I am more confident and learn more when we can train together. So I need a calm, adult-only forever home with an experienced cocker spaniel owner where I can be the only dog. Plus a fenced-in yard where I can play and train would be ideal. Now here’s where I really shine: I am a certified CUDDLE BUG at heart! I absolutely LOVE attention, giving kisses, receiving kisses, back scratches, tummy rubs – basically all the good stuff! If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with affection and stay by your side, that’s me! Ready to make me part of your family? I promise to bring love, loyalty, and plenty of snuggles to your home! Fill out an application at www.floridacockerrescue.org today! ADOPTION FEE: $350

Story
Hi there friends, my name is Luna and I’m a sweet 8-year-old, 24lb cocker spaniel girl looking for my perfect forever home. My previous family realized I wasn’t a good fit with their baby and asked FCCR to help me find a new home. Then when I came to FCCR I needed some medical TLC including mammary tumor surgery and a dental. Now I’m fully recovered and ready to find the quiet, peaceful home of my dreams! Here’s what makes me special: I need to be an ONLY dog in a calm home with no cats and no kids. A peaceful household without a lot of visitors would be perfect – I’m a bit shy with new people and I really thrive in tranquil environments. I have excellent house manners, I’m good in a crate, and I’m wonderful on a leash (no pulling!). But honestly? I’m a total homebody who prefers short walks so I can get back to my favorite places – the sofa or your bed! Want to know my cutest trait? If you call me, I instantly roll on my back for tummy rubs! It’s my signature move and I’m told it’s irresistible. I love cuddling on the sofa watching TV, and I sleep in bed with my humans – though fair warning, I’m a loud snorer and I like to sleep in until 9am! I like toys but I destroy them pretty quickly, and I’m not into balls. What I AM into? Eating! (Especially apples!) I take treats gently, though I’m allergic to chicken and I’ve had 8 teeth removed, so finding the right treats takes a little effort but I’m totally worth it. I’m looking for a calm, patient person or couple who wants a devoted companion for quiet nights at home. Could that be you? Apply to adopt me through our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org Adoption fee: $350

Story
Hello, FCCR friends! My name is Megan and I’m here to tell you about me and my sister Mia – we’re a bonded pair of cocker spaniel littermates looking for our forever home together! Mia and I are 6-year-old cocker spaniel girls who each weigh about 30 pounds, and we’ve been inseparable since birth! We had the same loving owner our whole lives, but sadly she could no longer care for us. It was such a heartbreaking and tearful goodbye, but FCCR promised her and us that they would find a wonderful new home where we’ll be loved and cherished just like before. We know our perfect family is out there! So, what are we like? We’re both very docile and sweet – think gentle cuddle bugs who just want to make you happy! We get along great with other laid-back dogs and we love kids. Cats? Well, it depends on the cat’s personality! Sometimes we’re totally fine with them, but other times our inner spaniel takes over and we bark and want to chase. A confident, chill cat would probably work out fine, but a nervous kitty might find us a bit much. We’re housebroken ladies with good house manners, and we’re working on improving our leash walking skills – we’re getting better every day and need our new family to continue our training! We are also great in the car and love an adventure! Now, full transparency about our grooming needs: like many cockers, we both have sensitive skin and allergies. Mia recently had an ear infection (those floppy ears!), so we need regular ear cleanings to stay healthy. We eat prescription food and use a medicated shampoo to keep the itchies away. But honestly? We’re total champs about all of it! We know these things help us feel fabulous. Here’s where we get FUN: we are OBSESSED with chasing chameleons! Seriously, it’s our absolute favorite pastime. We also discovered our neighbor had a flirt pole (it’s like a giant cat toy for dogs – a long pole with a lure on the end that you can whip around for us to chase), and we went CRAZY for it! We’d probably love chasing and retrieving balls too – anything that moves, really! We’re playful, active girls who love a good game. We’re a package deal because sisters stick together, and we’re ready to bring double the love, double the fun, and double the cocker spaniel charm to your home! Apply to adopt us through the rescue website: www.floridacockerrescue.org Adoption fee for both: $650

Story
Hey there, I’m Charlie! I’m a handsome 5-year-old cocker spaniel boy with a full fluffy tail and I weigh a solid 26 pounds. If you’re looking for a friendly, playful pup whose tail never stops wagging, you’ve found your guy! I am great with other dogs and I’m always ready for a good time. But…a few important things you need to know first: The humans - especially the kids - in my early life were not good to me and so I need a home without kids. I do not like to share my food or toys and when I get a hold of something I really like and want to keep, I can be stubborn about giving it up unless you offer something better. As a result, I need a cocker spaniel-savvy owner who understands how I can be, will work with me and let me think everything (my human wants me to do) is really MY idea. Now, let me tell you about my special talent – the non-stop butt wiggle! When you pet me, hug me, or give me kisses, my whole back end just can’t contain the joy and I wiggle like there’s no tomorrow. It’s pretty much my signature move and I’m told it’s absolutely adorable. I can be a bit of a goofy boy and I wear that badge with pride! I’m crate-trained, love going for car rides and walks, and I know a few basic commands already. I’m a smart cookie and I’d love to learn even more tricks with my new family – just make it fun and I’m all in! Ready to meet your new best friend? Go to our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org to apply. My adoption fee is $300.
