Thunder gets the zoomies and loves to tear around your home chasing the imaginary creature that he needs to protect you from. An adorable sweetie who loves to snuggle and play. Need I say more? Thunder has the MOST adorable whiskers, they are spotted! White and black, very unique, never seen spotted whiskers on any kitty before Thunder. He is a handsome boy that has the look of a Panther but without the killer instinct. This guy is truly a lover at heart. He also is halter trained but truly prefers to hang out with you on the computer or couch. Thunder is a little over a year old, healthy, neutered, vaccinated, negative for FELV/FIV, dewormed, flea free and microchipped. Story
Ryann is a sweet and affectionate British Shorthair born in May 2021. She’s been a wonderful companion, but due to allergies and the demands of caring for an infant and young child, I can no longer provide her with the attention she deserves. Recently, Ryann has started occasionally pooping outside her litter box, which I believe may be due to changes in our home dynamic and less one-on-one attention. She’s a loving, gentle cat who adores cuddling, headbutts, and sleeping close to you. Ryann is very close to my other British Shorthair, Billie, and they will need to be adopted together. ❤️

Story
Billie is a beautiful British Shorthair born in January 2021. She’s a great cat with a classic feline personality—curious, playful, and full of charm. Billie is 100% potty trained, never scratches or tears anything up, and doesn’t jump on counters. She loves to lounge next to you and is perfectly happy being picked up and held. Billie and Ryann share a special bond and need to be adopted together. They’ve always been each other’s companion, and it’s important they stay together in their new home. ❤️

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. CASSANDRA had 6 kittens in a very dangerous industrial recycle center in Compton, California. The babies were born in a abandoned car inside the recycling plant. The trapper was able to get the kittens to safety and went back for mom. Kittens were sent out to a rescue in San Diego, California. And once mom was caught, the trapper discovered she was a very super sweet, purring machine!! Meet CASSANDRA, a sassy, sweet, and feisty tuxedo kitty from Compton, California, who is equal parts cuddly and commanding! With her classic black-and-white fur coat, this chubby little diva has perfected the art of being the center of attention, but only when she’s in the mood. She’s got that special “I’m in charge” attitude that makes her both endearing and, let’s face it, a bit bossy! CASSANDRA might be large in size, but don’t let that fool you—she’s also got a big personality. She absolutely adores her 3-tier toy, the one with those colorful balls that keep her engaged for hours. You’ll often find her batting the balls around, her little paws a blur of movement. It’s her favorite way to unwind, and she’s become a master at rolling the balls just the right way to make them bounce with that perfect thwack sound. If there’s one thing CASSANDRA does, it’s play with purpose. As much as she enjoys her playful independence, CASSANDRA is also a fan of affection—but on her terms, of course. She loves receiving pets when she’s ready for them, but if she's not feeling it, she’ll make sure you know with a quick glance or a soft swat (nothing too serious, just a reminder that she’s the boss!). When CASSANDRA is in the mood for cuddles, though, she’s as sweet as can be, curling up next to you and purring with contentment as if you’ve won her favor for the day. She can be the queen of your lap, but you’ll need to earn it! Her unique purring will absolutely make you fall in love with her! CASSANDRA is best suited for a home where she can rule the roost, making her own rules but also sharing her love when she chooses. She’s playful, independent, and ready to bring her unique charm into a family that appreciates her spirited nature. Are you ready to let this feisty little lady take the lead in her new loving home? CASSANDRA is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / BOMBAY-TUXEDO MIX. Honestly we are not sure what she is. She's not a full TUXEDO, but she's not a full BOMBAY either. She is about 2 years and 7 months old. She is ok with cats but will do best as the queen of her home. She has never been around dogs that we are aware of or children. CASSANDRA is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! ABEL and KANE were saved from the shelter. They were unsocial and sick. Now he is ready to be adopted. Meet ABEL a shy American Short Hair Bombay Mix from San Jacinto, California whose essence is a delicate blend of timidity and charm wrapped in a sleek gray coat. ABEL is a shy and reserved fellow, preferring to take his time to get comfortable in new surroundings. He often finds solace in quiet corners, where he can observe his environment from a safe distance. But don't let his initial reticence fool you – beneath that reserved exterior lies a heart full of warmth and curiosity, just waiting for the right moment to shine. One of ABEL's favorite pastimes is watching TV. He is particularly fond of nature documentaries, where he can watch the graceful movements of other animals, or sometimes he enjoys the occasional animated film. There's something soothing about the flickering screen that captures his attention, providing hours of quiet entertainment. ABEL also has a special relationship with his cat tree. This towering structure of feline delight is his sanctuary, a place where he can climb, scratch, and perch to his heart's content. Whether he's napping in one of its cozy cubbies or surveying his domain from the highest platform, ABEL's cat tree is his happy place, offering both comfort and adventure in equal measure. Though ABEL may seem aloof at first, he has a unique way of showing affection once he feels secure. He might nuzzle your hand or softly purr as he curls up beside you. His gentle nature and calm demeanor make him an ideal companion for a patient and understanding family who appreciates the quiet joys of life. ABEL is best suited to a peaceful home where he can settle in at his own pace. He would thrive in an environment without too much hustle and bustle, perhaps with a few sunny spots to lounge in and, of course, a dedicated TV time for his favorite shows. His ideal family will understand that good things come to those who wait and will cherish the special bond that forms with a cat like Abel. Are you ready to give Abel the loving home he deserves and share in the quiet, heartwarming moments of companionship he offers? If so, can't wait to meet you and start this new chapter of his life together. Reach out to us to make ABEL part of your family today. ********************* ABEL IS AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER TO ADOPT ********************* ABEL is an AMERICAN SHORT HAIR / BOMBAY MIX. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. MARISOL VERA and 10 other cats were saved from the shelter. Most of them were black cats. Its so unfortunate the bad stigma that these cats get. Lucky for them, (just like our logo shows) we LOOOVE black cats! According to the rescue mama that has been saving cats for over 20 years, black cats are the best cats EVER! And MARISOL VERA is the example! She was very unhappy when we got her. She is still not fond of being picked up. She loves to play by herself too. She loves to eat her can food! MARISOL VERA sweet and loving. She will need a home with a family that loves her just the way she is...playful, sassy and loves you on her own time. She will probably do best as on only cat or a boy cat. She is very fond of boy cats. MARISOL VERA is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / BOMBAY MIX. He is about 1 year old and is good with cats. In his foster home, she was around other kittens and older cats.
