Hey, we are expecting a baby and it will be difficult for us to manage with the new born. With heavy heart we need someone who can take care of Bear. He is an amazing cat, super friendly.

stormy is a nice gentle cat. I had a litter that were born outside and I couldn’t find a mother and I I currently take care of her. my wife is allergic to cats and I can’t have her. Hoping to find a loving home she deserves it.

Meet Happy 🖤💛 Happy is a beautiful black golden British Shorthair, approximately 4 years old, searching for a forever home preferably together after unexpectedly losing her only home she's ever known. Happy is actually a bit shy and acts like a princess. She does not enjoy sharing the attention with other cats or pets. Whoever adopts her needs to be extremely patient and understand it might take weeks to a month for her to officially settle in. She'll likely be the first to hide in a new environment and the last to come out, but with time and patience, her sweet personality begins to shine. Once she feels comfortable with you, she will follow you around from room to room and play with toys and lounge on the couch with you like a potato. She would thrive in a household with someone (or a couple) who works from home or a retired couple who can shower her with lots of love and attention. She doesn't love being picked up or sitting on laps. Instead, she demonstrates her affection by quietly sitting beside you once she's learned she can trust you. She loves having fresh water available in both a fountain and a bowl. Their favorite foods are beef and chicken flavors, and they do not eat shrimp-based diets. Happy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and recently received a full veterinary checkup, including bloodwork, with a clean bill of health. If you'd like to learn more about Happy, please reach out to our rescue—we'd be happy to answer any questions!

MARCH 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. A Shadow of Misunderstanding, A Heart of Gold! MARISOL VERA was once just one of ten cats saved from a local shelter, a rescue mission that was particularly poignant due to the undeserved stigma so many black cats face. Unfortunately, these superstitions seem to have cast a long shadow over her journey. One by one, her ten siblings and friends found their forever homes, leaving MARISOL VERA to wait patiently. She is now the last of her litter, a bittersweet reality for such a sweet and loving feline. MARISOL VERA's story isn't one of hardship but of quiet independence. It's true she isn't fond of being picked up; she prefers to keep all four paws on the ground, exploring the world on her own terms. She loves a good solo play session, batting at toys or chasing sunbeams across the floor. This confident, independent streak is part of her charm. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to ask for it, particularly when it comes to her favorite canned food. But don't mistake her sass for aloofness—she is sweet and loving, offering affection freely when the mood strikes. She might not be a lap cat on demand, but she will shower you with love and attention exactly when you need it most. Her perfect match will be a family that understands and cherishes her unique personality. MARISOL VERA isn't just looking for a home; she's looking for a partner who will love and appreciate her for who she is: a playful, sassy, and affectionate companion who loves on her own time. While she could be an only cat, she is also very fond of male cats, suggesting she might thrive with a calm, understanding feline brother. With her playful spirit, a family that provides a home filled with warmth, toys, and plenty of delicious meals will find a loyal and loving friend in this one-of-a-kind girl. MARISOL VERA is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / BOMBAY MIX. She is about 3 years and 5 months old. She is good with cats. In her foster home, she was around other kittens and older cats. She has never been around dogs that we are aware of or children. MARISOL VERA is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. One was 8 weeks old. ABEL and KANE were saved from the shelter. They were unsocial and sick. Now he is ready to be adopted. Meet ABEL a shy Domestic Short Hair Bombay Mix from San Jacinto, California whose essence is a delicate blend of timidity and charm wrapped in a sleek black coat. ABEL is a shy and reserved fellow, preferring to take his time to get comfortable in new surroundings. He often finds solace in quiet corners, where he can observe his environment from a safe distance. But don't let his initial reticence fool you beneath that reserved exterior lies a heart full of warmth and curiosity, just waiting for the right moment to shine. One of ABEL's favorite pastimes is watching TV. He is particularly fond of nature documentaries, where he can watch the graceful movements of other animals, or sometimes he enjoys the occasional animated film. There's something soothing about the flickering screen that captures his attention, providing hours of quiet entertainment. ABEL also has a special relationship with his cat tree. This towering structure of feline delight is his sanctuary, a place where he can climb, scratch, and perch to his heart's content. Whether he's napping in one of its cozy cubbies or surveying his domain from the highest platform, ABEL's cat tree is his happy place, offering both comfort and adventure in equal measure. Though ABEL may seem aloof at first, he has a unique way of showing affection once he feels secure. He might nuzzle your hand or softly purr as he curls up beside you. His gentle nature and calm demeanor make him an ideal companion for a patient and understanding family who appreciates the quiet joys of life. ABEL is best suited to a peaceful home where he can settle in at his own pace. He would thrive in an environment without too much hustle and bustle, perhaps with a few sunny spots to lounge in and, of course, a dedicated TV time for his favorite shows. His ideal family will understand that good things come to those who wait and will cherish the special bond that forms with a cat like Abel. Are you ready to give Abel the loving home he deserves and share in the quiet, heartwarming moments of companionship he offers? If so, can't wait to meet you and start this new chapter of his life together. Reach out to us to make ABEL part of your family today. ********************* ABEL IS AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER TO ADOPT ********************* ABEL is an DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / BOMBAY MIX.
