Story
Meet Basil: A Brave Little Survivor! Basil’s journey is one of resilience, love, and hope. This dashing British Shorthair traveled all the way from Kuwait to the U.S., carrying with him an inspiring story of survival and a heart full of affection. He’s ready to start the next chapter with someone who will cherish his uniqueness. When Basil was first rescued, he was battling a tough illness called panleukopenia. But thanks to incredible care and his fighting spirit, he made a full recovery! While he’s perfectly healthy now, the stress of his early experiences left him with a quirky head tilt that’s triggered by emotional tension. This little tilt is his way of reminding us that even life’s challenges can lead to something extraordinary. Basil’s charm and warmth know no bounds. His plush gray coat and soulful amber eyes are as captivating as his gentle demeanor. Whether he’s asking for head scratches or curling up in a sunny spot, Basil radiates calm, soothing energy that’s perfect for any home. This sweet boy would thrive in a peaceful environment where he can fully relax and enjoy being his delightful self. He adores people and will make a loving, loyal companion for someone who sees beauty in his unique story. Are you ready to offer Basil the love and calm he needs? He’s waiting to show you just how amazing life can be with a little extra tilt and a whole lot of heart.

Story
The sweetest baby might be Dominic. He’s been through a lot but shows his love like no other. Dominic is a British Shorthair from Kuwait. He was rescued off the street, underweight with pneumonia and eye infections. He eventually recovered from those ailments and then struggled with skin issues for several months in his Kuwait foster home. They tried everything to diagnose and treat him and eventually a round of steroids cured his skin issues. Because of the depth of his skin problems, Dominic has visible scars on his body, including his ears and shoulders. After a whole year in Kuwait foster care, Dominic finally made it to the US! He is the sweetest boy and loves to be held and pet. He would make an exceptional emotional support animal. He will come up and lay on your chest with his nose an inch from your face. He’s so excited to spend time with people. He also loves kittens and is a great “papa” to them. While he doesn’t like male adult cats, he would do just fine with a kitten that he can help raise. He would be fine as an only cat too in a home where people are around or maybe someone working from home. Dominic has pillow paw (pododermatitis) which makes his left front paw larger than the rest. The typical methods of treatment have not been successful but not all cases can be cured. His pillow paw does not hurt him at all and he lives a normal life. Dominic will be the love of your life. He really is one of the best boys.
