Story
Nicknamed Cece by her foster mom, 3-year-old Cecilia puts the “c” into cuddly. Not only does this 42-pound former puppy mama LOVE cuddling with her, she loves snuggling on the couch and arranging her arms in a manner most comfortable for her! She also loves resting her head on her, showing her paw for more loving, rolling over for belly rubs and doing the cutest of ranger crawls. Always friendly towards the people she meets, she even loves cuddling with strangers, and she loves playing with other dogs and chewing on bones. She knows how to entertain herself with toys and balls when her foster mom is preoccupied, but definitely needs intentional exercise to keep her content. Highly and happily energetic, Cece especially enjoys visiting the dog park as well as going on long walks/hikes before returning home to nap while her foster mom works. She also enjoys having playdates with her neighbors and is a very attentive host. She will take out every single one of her toys one by one to entice her guests into playing with her. When playing with other dogs, she's extremely cognizant of boundaries and sharing. If she feels like her playmates might not be able to catch her, Cece will deliberately drop the toy and give the other dog a chance to be chased. Motivated mainly by love and attention, closely followed by food, she already knows “come,” “sit,” “down,” “paw,” “place” (to her bed or crate), "quiet", "leave it", and "stay". She loves peanut butter, chicken and Dentastix, accepting all of her treats very gently. Still at work on her leash skills and fully house-trained and crate-trained, Cece will thrive in an active home, perhaps with another equally energetic dog, that will perfect her puppylike manners, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her in cuddles fur-ever. See more photos and videos of Cece here.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email  dogs@arrcolorado.org  for more information, as we can't accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Echo is a very sweet, loving, happy girl. She loves to gnaw on nylabones, go for runs, and cuddle. She's always been a wonderful dog but has gotten aggressive over treats with our other two dogs, and it's just too hard to manage three dogs. We can give you her bones, kennel, food and blanket. She does best when left alone to be kenneled and tolerates it very well. She sleeps on my bed but is happy in a dog bed, recliner or couch. She just had a full physical and her vaccines are current.
