Story
Cobalt is a darling 20 lb 4 mth old liver/white male Brittany puppy.  UTD on vaccines, and on heartworm prevention, along w flea and tick. Cobalt is very calm and sweet with his hoomans.  Treat motivated, likes his toys and loves to run and play. He is best with bigger dogs and at least 2 yrs and up.  He wants to be King of the Mountain with his siblings, and  with other puppies or smaller dogs.  Does great otherwise, very respectful with older dogs  He does need a physical fenced in yard to run, hunt, and sun.  He enjoyed playing with the other dogs through the fence and playtime with adult dogs.  NO CATS!!! Cobalt is a loving puppy, just wants to be in charge with other puppies and smaller dogs.  His two brothers were the same way and they are doing amazing and loving playing with other dogs. The adoption fee for OK/Cobalt K, who lives in Tulsa, OK is $575 ($500 adoption fee plus a $75  refundable neuter deposit upon verification of neuter),  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Cobalt part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Please let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  Also, please email the state coordinator of OK/Cobalt-Melinde Waddle @ macgammy@gmail.com  Once approved by your state coordinator, the Coordinator will discuss Cobalt with you. Transportation can be arranged up  to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.  August 17, 2026, 3:22 pm

Story
Hi everyone! My name is Hank and I am approximately 18 months old. When I got to NBRAN, I visited the vet and got all my vaccines and I was neutered. I am heartworm negative and I take my monthly heartworm preventatives like a good boy!  I am a very handsome male French Brittany, if I do say so myself. Actually, everyone that meets me says I am very handsome! At 30 lbs., I am a little guy.  I can be very shy, but I can also be very loving. One thing for sure, I don’t like you touching my feet!  Because, I had lived my life in a kennel with a concrete floor, I did not play or walk in the grass much.  That makes going to the potty on the grass confusing for me.  I was only allowed to relieve myself on the concrete.  I am very smart, but sometimes habits can be hard to break, and house training is not easy for me.  I would love a home with a housetrained doggie friend that would help me learn the ropes. Even though I have been “snipped,” female dogs still drive me to do things I shouldn’t sometimes. (my foster mom can elaborate).   I have never been around cats, but I don’t think I would like them very much! My foster family loves me but wants me to have a family of my very own.  I am still fixated with rolling in things that don’t smell so good, but my foster mom has worked with me, and I am getting lots better.  I need a home with a fenced backyard to run in, and a doggie door would help me with housetraining, although it is not a “must have.” I am a Houdini in my collar and harness and have been known to try to get out of them (successfully) and explore. Do you think you would like me to come be part of your family? If you have patience and a loving home where I can have a doggie sibling and fenced backyard, I would love to come live with you! My adoption fee is $400 to help offset the expenses associated with getting me ( and other fabulous rescued Brittanys) in great condition for a fabulous new home.  You don't have to live in Tennessee, NBRAN will transport me up to 1400 miles to my furever home. Please contact Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.com or Debbie Tuthill agilitybrits@gmail.com  to find out more about me! Story
Pete is a 4-year-old Brittany neutered male. He is an endearing quirky boy that is kind, gentle and affectionate. Pete was born with cataracts and was completely blind when he came to NBRAN. A diagnosis and treatment plan that included surgery was quickly decided after an NBRAN volunteer took Pete to an appointment with a doggie ophthalmologist. The surgery was successful and Pete regained his sight.  Even though the surgery was successful, Pete can become fixated on light and shadows. Pete's favorite activity is playing fetch and retrieving the ball.  Like lots of Brittanys, Pete has been known to try and occasionally succeed in eating nonfood items. While Pete is outside, if exposed to items like sticks and acorns, he needs to be watched. But most of the time, he is far too busy joyfully retrieving a ball instead of eating things he should not. Like a typical young dog, he will eat items inside he should not. Pete has been trained to wear a muzzle and does not mind it if his adopter feels necessary. He is crate trained, but no blankets, pillows, or pads please. If you want a lovebug, Pete is your dog. Did I mention he loves belly rubs? While Pete can be quite social with older considerate children and adults, he is not so great with other dogs. Pete MUST BE THE ONLY DOG IN THE HOME-NO EXCEPTIONS! He is so kind to people and he has the softest touch. He will be a great companion for a retired family or families with older children. A secure fenced yard would be ideal for him to be able to explore and to safely fetch the ball. Pete's foster mom loves him and so will you. Pete is a great leash walker and has perfect recall. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccines. Pete requires eye drops once a day, but do not let that influence your decision not to learn more about this sweet boy. Reach out to us and let us discuss it. Other than that, Pete is extremely healthy.    He loves to ride in the car and watch the world go by while looking out the window. Pete is eager to please and will do anything ask of him. He is a happy dog and when he is tired, he loves to sit and cuddle.    Precious Pete's adoption Fee is $400 to help offset medical expenses. NBRAN will provide transportation, up to 1400 miles, to an approved home.
