Story
Meet Colt — A Little Cowboy Looking for His Forever Ranch! Howdy, future family! My name is Colt, and I’ve been waiting for you. I’m an absolutely darling 4-month-old, 20-lb liver-and-white Brittany puppy with a sweet little face, a playful spirit, and a whole lot of love packed into one adorable package. I’m up to date on my vaccines and already on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. I’m a calm, sweet and loving little guy with my people. I love being close to my hoomans, and if you happen to have a treat in your hand…well, you’ll have my complete attention! I’m a smart boy, and treats are definitely the way to my heart. But don’t let my sweet snuggly side fool you—I’m still a Brittany puppy! I love my toys, running, playing, exploring and investigating everything happening in my backyard. Give me a sunny spot in the grass and some room to stretch those growing Brittany legs, and I’m one happy little cowboy. ☀️ I’ll need a physical fenced yard where I can safely run, play, hunt for imaginary critters and soak up the sunshine. About My Four-Legged Friends I enjoy other dogs and have had fun playing with adult dogs. I’m still learning my puppy manners, though, and sometimes I like to think I should be the little boss, especially with puppies or dogs smaller than me. The good news? My two brothers had the very same big-puppy personalities, and they are now doing wonderfully and loving life with other dogs. But underneath all that puppy confidence is simply a loving little boy who needs someone to choose him. Colt doesn't need perfection. He needs a family who will teach him. A family who will play with him. A family who will laugh at his puppy antics. A family who will show him what it means to belong. Most of all, he needs his person. He has his whole life ahead of him, and somewhere out there is a family who will someday wonder how they ever lived without this sweet liver-and-white boy. Colt is ready for his forever home. Maybe the home he’s been waiting for…is yours. The adoption fee for OK/Colt, who lives in Tulsa, OK is $575 ($500 adoption fee plus a $75  refundable neuter deposit upon verification of neuter),  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Colt part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Please let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  Also, please email the state coordinator of OK/Colt-Melinde Waddle @ macgammy@gmail.com  Once approved by your state coordinator, the Coordinator will discuss Colt with you. Transportation can be arranged up  to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.August 23, 2026, 6:14 pm

Story
Hi Brittany Lovers! My name is Hank and I am approximately 18 months old. When I got to NBRAN, I visited the vet and got all my vaccines and I was neutered. I am heartworm negative and I take my monthly heartworm preventatives like a good boy!  I am a very handsome male French Brittany, if I do say so myself. Actually, everyone that meets me says I am very handsome! At 30 lbs., I am a little guy.  I can be very shy, but I can also be very loving. One thing for sure, I don’t like you touching my feet!  Because, I had lived my life in a kennel with a concrete floor, I did not play or walk in the grass much.  That makes going to the potty on the grass confusing for me.  I was only allowed to relieve myself on the concrete.  I am very smart, but sometimes habits can be hard to break, and house training has not been easy for me.  I would love a home with a housetrained doggie friend that would help me learn the ropes, but I am proud to say that I have done so well on my housetraining, I might not need another dog to show me the ropes.  I have never been around cats, but I don’t think I would like them very much! My foster family loves me but wants me to have a family of my very own.  I am still fixated with rolling in things that don’t smell so good, but my foster mom has worked with me, and I am getting lots better.  I need a home with a fenced backyard to run in, and a doggie door would help me with housetraining, although it is not a “must have.” I am a Houdini in my collar and harness and have been known to try to get out of them (successfully) and explore. Do you think you would like me to come be part of your family? If you have patience and a loving home where I can have fenced yard, I would love to come live with you! My adoption fee is $400 to help offset the expenses associated with getting me ( and other fabulous rescued Brittanys) in great condition for a fabulous new home.  You don't have to live in Tennessee, NBRAN will transport me up to 1400 miles to my furever home. Please contact Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.com or Debbie Tuthill agilitybrits@gmail.com  to find out more about me! Abby — Her Happily-Ever-After Is Waiting Hi there… I’m Abby, and I have a very important question for you: Do you have room in your heart and on your couch for a girl who has been waiting a very long time to belong to someone? I’m a beautiful 55-lb liver, white & roan Brittany/GSP mix, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I LOVE with my whole heart. I’m healthy, spayed, heartworm and tick negative, and on prevention. Now all I’m missing is my forever family. I’m the perfect combination of silly and snuggly. I’ll get a case of the zoomies, race around and enjoy myself, and then—just like that—I’m ready to curl up beside you for some serious couch time. ️ I’m pretty sure being a professional cuddle buddy is the job I was born to do. And personal space? Well… I may have heard of it. If you’re my person, I want to be with you. That’s why getting a good picture of me can be tricky—I’d much rather be leaning against you, sitting beside you, or soaking up your love than posing for the camera. I Want to Be Your One & Only Abby loves her people BIG, and she would be happiest as the only dog in her forever home. But please don’t think of that as something she’s missing. Think of it this way: one very special girl gets to give one very lucky family ALL of her heart. ❤️ She isn't asking for doggie siblings. She is asking for YOU—someone who wants a devoted companion, a couch-sharing partner and a best friend who will be thrilled every single day that you came home. A physical fenced yard is required so Abby can safely enjoy her sunshine, sniffing adventures and those adorable bursts of zoomies before coming back inside to her favorite place—right next to her person. Her Past Is Behind Her. Her Future Is What Matters. Abby's life wasn't always easy. There was a time when she was frightened, confused and facing a future that almost ended far too soon. Kind people chose to give her another chance. And Abby did something beautiful with that chance. She blossomed. Today, we don't want Abby's story to be about what almost happened to her. We want it to be about what happens next. We want the next chapter to be about the day someone saw her sweet face and decided: “That's my girl.” A warm bed. A safe yard. A spot on the couch. A human to follow from room to room. A lifetime of belly rubs, kisses and being ridiculously spoiled. That's the ending we're looking for. ❤️ Abby doesn't need a perfect world. She just needs to be someone's girl. And whoever chooses her won't simply be giving Abby her forever home… They'll be getting a loyal, affectionate, wonderfully silly girl who has been saving an enormous amount of love for the family she can finally call her own. Abby is ready. Her bags are packed. Her heart is wide open. Her couch-cuddling skills have been perfected. Now she just needs someone to say, “Abby, you're home.” The adoption fee for OK/Abby,  who lives in Tulsa, OK area  is $325, (which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making OK/Abby part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Please let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  Also, please email the state coordinator of OK/Abby-Melinde Waddle @ macgammy@gmail.com  Once approved by your state coordinator, I will setup talking with you about Abby. Transportation can be arranged up  to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.    August 23, 2026, 6:14 pm

Story
Pete is a 4-year-old Brittany neutered male. He is an endearing quirky boy that is kind, gentle and affectionate. Pete was born with cataracts and was completely blind when he came to NBRAN. A diagnosis and treatment plan that included surgery was quickly decided after an NBRAN volunteer took Pete to an appointment with a doggie ophthalmologist. The surgery was successful and Pete regained his sight.  Even though the surgery was successful, Pete can become fixated on light and shadows. Pete's favorite activity is playing fetch and retrieving the ball.  Like lots of Brittanys, Pete has been known to try and occasionally succeed in eating nonfood items. While Pete is outside, if exposed to items like sticks and acorns, he needs to be watched. But most of the time, he is far too busy joyfully retrieving a ball instead of eating things he should not. Like a typical young dog, he will eat items inside he should not. Pete has been trained to wear a muzzle and does not mind it if his adopter feels necessary. He is crate trained, but no blankets, pillows, or pads please. If you want a lovebug, Pete is your dog. Did I mention he loves belly rubs? While Pete can be quite social with older considerate children and adults, he is not so great with other dogs. Pete MUST BE THE ONLY DOG IN THE HOME-NO EXCEPTIONS! He is so kind to people and he has the softest touch. He will be a great companion for a retired family or families with older children. A secure fenced yard would be ideal for him to be able to explore and to safely fetch the ball. Pete's foster mom loves him and so will you. Pete is a great leash walker and has perfect recall. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccines. Pete requires eye drops once a day, but do not let that influence your decision not to learn more about this sweet boy. Reach out to us and let us discuss it. Other than that, Pete is extremely healthy.    He loves to ride in the car and watch the world go by while looking out the window. Pete is eager to please and will do anything ask of him. He is a happy dog and when he is tired, he loves to sit and cuddle.    Precious Pete's adoption Fee is $400 to help offset medical expenses. NBRAN will provide transportation, up to 1400 miles, to an approved home. For more information about me contact Debbie Tuthill agilitybrits@gmail.com or Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.comAugust 23, 2026, 6:14 pm
