Story
Maple is a 2.5-year-old French Brittany who packs a whole lot of charm into her perfect 25-pound frame. Her foster family lovingly calls her “Meatball,” and honestly…it fits. She’s adorable, goofy, snuggly, and absolutely devoted to her people. Maple LOVES car rides, plush toys, and curling up next to you for belly rubs. She didn’t get much freedom or enrichment in her early life and likely spent most of her time in a kennel, so she came to us needing a refresher on potty training and some basic house habits. She’s made steady progress but still needs a patient family willing to keep her routine consistent. She can be a bit curious and may check out items that aren’t technically “hers,” so keeping tempting things out of reach and offering plenty of dog-safe toys will set her up for success. Maple does well in her kennel when her people are out of the house. She may give a little protest bark at first (she just has to make sure you know she has notes), but she settles down and rests quietly once she realizes she’s safe. Maple is not a dog that can live with or closely interact with other dogs. Through training, she has made progress in calmly seeing dogs at a distance with positive reinforcement, but pushing those interactions too quickly can cause anxiety for her. For her comfort and safety, she must be an only dog, and a fenced-in yard (ideally privacy fenced) would suit her best so she can explore and enjoy the outdoors stress-free. She’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly people-oriented. Maple has mastered “sit", and is working on more tricks, but needs a little patience since she isn’t very food motivated. Maple is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Now she’s just waiting for a family who sees how special she is and can give her the structure, love, and dog-free home she deserves. Maple is currently in foster care in Wisconsin and has an adoption donation fee of $400.  If you are interested in adopting her and have been approved to adopt, let your state coordinator know you are interested in her.  If you haven’t yet done so, please go to: https://www.nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application to fill out an application.  Your state coordinator will contact you and take you through the approval process.  If your application looks like a possible fit for her, your coordinator will contact Maple’s coordinator and continue the screening process. Maple’s state coordinator is Hallie Barbara. She can be reached at Minnesotabrittany@gmail.com for questions or inquires.   Thank you for considering this sweet girl.  December 15, 2025, 9:27 am

Story
Hey Everyone, I’m Penny an adorable and highly active 2 year old female looking for a place to call home Forever!  Right now, I’m enjoying the good life in a wonderful foster home in Eastern Maine. I’m up to date on vaccine, spayed, heartworm negative, on prevention and micro-chipped too. I’m house and crate trained and will let you know when I have to go. I walk well on leash and love playing with other dogs too. I’ve never been around cats but I’m a typical young Brittany with a high prey drive so a cat free home is highly recommended. Seeing as I’m such an energetic and active girl, my new house should also have a secure 5-6 ft physically fenced in yard so me and my new “bro-fur or sis” have a place to run and play safely.  I would really enjoy a home where my people do not leave me home all day long, even though I can spend time in my crate I’d rather be out playing with my people.   I do enjoy the company of women the most; however I have learned that men can be fun too. I just need to be given time to warm up to them. Once I do, we will have lots of fun playing and having adventures together!  I’ve not been with children much, but I’d probably do well with older, dog-savvy kids who are looking for a playmate to run around with. So, if you’re looking for a young Miss like me and have the love, patience, and time to give me a place to call home,  please consider filling out an adoption application for me Penny/ME online at: https://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application. Once your application is submitted the coordinator in the State where you reside will follow-up with you. Need to reach your State Coordinator, find their contact information here https://nbran.org/about/state-provincial-coordinators Penny’s  adoption fee is 400.00 which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brits like Penny back to good health and readying them for adoption. Don't live in ME or close by, No Problem!  NBRAN has a wonderful transport team willing to help bring Brits like Penny to their new family, up to 1400 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee. Still have questions? Contact ME Coordinators Carla Gunn at  carladgunn@gmail.com or Karen Bailey at tmmb98@yahoo.com, Thank you.   December 14, 2025, 12:44 pm
