Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey there! My name is Kyle and I grew up with a family that had another lab, 2 cats and 4 kiddos. I got excited one day recently and bolted out of the invisible fence of my yard and ended up with some new kind people that let me hang out at their place of work until a foster came to scoop me up and look for my family. When they found them they had to make a hard decision and chose not to keep me. I’m young, full of energy and had some health issues that would have made it hard for them to afford. They chose to find a new home for me and so here I am. I am a little over 2 years old, I am a German short hair pointer/Labrador retriever mix. I love to run and play as my breed tends to have a lot of energy. I do not jump up much unless I’m really excited and love to lean in and get snuggles from my humans whenever possible. I love balls and tug of war and can play for hours! I bark when I want to play ball or get really excited. I’m used to being with my people so sometimes it’s hard to see them go. I am house trained but not crate trained. I do well with cats that don’t run and are used to dogs like me. I’m good with kids and all adults and other dogs. I just want to be friends with anyone I meet. I could be a good hunting dog as well, with a little more training. I know sit, drop and here. I am working on others and may need a little reinforcement on some of the ones I know already. Overall I’m a sweet boy who has been sad about losing my previous family and hope my next family will love me for all I am and can be with a lot of love and patience.  Kyle is a local owner surrender. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. *This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* I just joined my foster family and we are still getting acquainted with one another. Once they learn more about me, they will add more information here! Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and recommendations to keep your senior dog in top shape. Daisy is from a local impound.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
