Story
Kody 5.5 year-old Aussie shepherd poodle mix. She has a strong personality and loves to be the center of attention. She has been professionally trained knows all commands is how trained and great on a leash with her training commands and in a vehicle. Would need someone that has no other dogs in their home and has the time and attention to spend with Dakota continuing to utilize her training skills. She is doing a great job in her behavior training after spending a month in a program, she is now better wtith kids and other dogs but needs 1on1 continued training and cultivating of her new skills. she loves to have a job and be put to work. she will cuddle with you all. night long or sleep in a crate (after some adjustment). She loves games and can be taught more, but doesnt really play fetch. I think she could aslo be a great swimmer in environments like a river or the ocean. She loves to bark at the shore line as it rolls in and out. She will also jump over shorter gates or fences to be nearer to you, but will not run away. woul ddo great at agility training and activities. Kody would be the perfect single companion dog we love her so much and she has just as much love to offer the right family or person. She would ride passenger on a road trip or hang out while you watch tv. the perfect best friend.

Story
My name is Tonka. I am 1.5 years old and 60 lbs. I am a Retriever mix with a touch of what could be Spaniel, Pyrenees or Aussie. I am a gentle and kind creature. I am an old soul who falls in love with his people and appreciates every pet and hug I receive. I have not had the luxury of living inside a home for most of my life. I was cared for, fed and loved but the comforts of a couch and climate control were not my everyday. I have discovered the absolute joys of cool hardwood floors, couch cushions, area rugs, and kitchens. The best thing of all is lying next to my humans every chance I get. While my foster mom works, I enjoy being at her feet. I am affectionate while still being independent. I am medium energy. I am great with every dog; puppies and adults. I could live alone or with another kind dog or cat. I am also so good with cats. I am a submissive fellow and if a dog wants to take the lead, that's fine with me. I know basic commands such as sit, paw, off, lay and come. I am housebroken and crate trained but honestly, I am not sure I even need that crate.
