Story
Meet Jake, a 10 ½ years young neutered Orange & White Brittany looking for a very special home to call my own!   Jake is currently being fostered in Northern New York, but is really dreaming of a home of his own. Don’t let he’s age fool you he still has lots of Brittany puppy energy, curiosity and mischief making ability to give. He would love an active home where he gets to go on adventures and nice walks, as Jake gets so excited when the leash comes out says his foster mom. Jake loves being around people but can get pretty excited and jumpy at times so a new home with older, dog savvy children would be best suited for him. He also enjoys the fact his foster family works from home. So, Jake really hopes his new family also works from home, is retired, or will at least spend more time home then away too. Jake is crate trained but it does make him nervous and anxious.    Jake is also quite the “talker” especially when he needs or wants something. His foster Mom wishes Jake either spoke English or she understood dog, so he could maybe tell her about his past and why he has some of the traits he does. Jake can be pretty set in his ways at times, like when it comes to sharing toys or things he’s not suppose to have. When Jake has a favorite toy, socks or other items that he’s not supposed to have, he will grab and keep it close. It’s felt he may have never had “things” of his own so now that he does he doesn’t know how to act, which is something his fosters are working on.  Jake is not a fan of other dogs, his previous interaction with them have not been positive, so he now much prefers to be an only dog. Jake’s new home should also be cat free too, as he has the typical Brittany prey instinct when it comes to chasing small critters too. Despite his quirks Jake loves to snuggle, curling up in a lap and sleeping next to his fosters at night. Jake is housetrained, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, on prevention, and micro chipped too. So, now all that’s missing is a place to call home Forever! Is that your home?  If so, please consider filling out an application for Jake/NY online at: http://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application. Once your application is submitted the coordinator in the State where you reside will follow-up with you. Need to reach your State Coordinator, find their contact information here http://nbran.org/about/state-provincial-coordinators. Jake’s adoption fee is 250.00 which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brits like Jake back to good health and readying them for adoption. Don't live in NY or close by, No Problem!  NBRAN also has a wonderful transport team willing to help bring Brits like Jake to their new family, up to 1400 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee. Story
Meet Elle a sweet & adorable 3 year old female currently in a great foster home in South-West Pennsylvania who is dreaming of a Home of her very Own!  Elle was surrendered to NBRAN because her previous family could no longer give her the time and attention she needed. Elle is house and crate trained, up to date on vaccines, spayed, heartworm negative, on prevention, and micro-chipped. Elle came into foster care a bit on the chucky side. Her foster Mom has her on a low fat food plus Elle is getting more exercise running around with her foster brother which has helped to her begin to shed those extra pounds.  Elle is wonderful with people, she maybe a little to bouncy and excitable for young children. She really enjoys knowing that her people are close by, as she wants to know that they are ok, but is ok when left home alone in her crate. Elle can be a little timid or defensive with other dogs, especially if they are pushy, but it only takes her a few minutes to warm up and then she wants to play. She hates cats! She enjoys running around, chasing birds and is very respectful of the fence in yard at her Foster’s home. Elle has learned sit, down, off, wait (at the top of the steps, before exiting her crate and at doors to the outside), walks nicely on the leash, and comes when called (most of the time). She does bark at times, like when people walk on the road and she is inside or when the neighbors are outside in their backyard. She usually stops barking when told "enough". If the neighbor comes to the fence to greet her then they are her best buddies. Elle has also been known to counter surfing at times, as well as, chew toys. However, both behaviors have improved greatly thanks to the training and love from her foster Mom. Elle isn’t much of a snuggler she’s usually too busy but in the evenings when she's tired, she will. Elle is your typical Brittany and will need a Forever  Home and family who is active as Elle needs a job otherwise she will get bored. She would make the perfect hiking companion but keep in mind she hates water. Her new home should also have another active dog for her to run and hang out with along with a fully physically fenced in yard.    Elle is spayed, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, on prevention and microchipped. Elle's adoption fee is 400.00 which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brits like Elle back to good health and readying them for adoption. If you’re ready to consider making Elle part of you family, please submit an adoption application here: https://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application Once your application is submitted the coordinator in the State where you reside will follow-up with you. Story
Hey Everyone, I’m Molly, a 2-year-old orange and white spayed Brittany mix searching for my Forever Home!  Right now, I’m enjoying a good life in a great foster home in Southeast PA. I’m an active girl who loves the outdoors, as well as, people of all ages. I walk well on a leash, play nicely with cats and get along well with other dogs too. I also enjoy running the yard and playing tug of war so I’m really hoping my new home will have another active dog like me who like to play too. I’m still working on remembering my manners, things like containing my excitement when people visit, as I can be a little jumping at times, as well as, my basic commands. I practice them often and do pretty well if treats are involved! I’m fully house trained and don’t mind being in a crate for a few hours. Sometimes I even like to just lie in it and take a nap, but I best if I don’t have to stay in it for long periods during the day. There is another important thing you should know about me, I have a condition called Diabetes Insipidus. You may not have heard of this before but basically my brain doesn’t know how to tell me to stop drinking water. The Good News is my condition is easily treated with medication (eye drops) which I will need twice a day for the rest of her life.   Additionally, my new family will also need to be willing to make sure I have regular water breaks and know that water will always be available too. If you think this condition slows me down, No Way I’m as playful and goofy as they come just ask my Foster Mom! I have been checked from nose to tail and I’m up to date on vaccines, spayed, heartworm negative, on prevention, and micochipped.  I’m looking for a loving family that plays and will let me be goofy too. I’m not much of a snuggler as I’m just too busy playing or chewing on a bone for that. A home with another playful dog and a family who’s active and willing to spend quality time with me would be a dream. A home with a physically fenced yard would also be nice as remember I have lots of energy and need plenty of exercise too. Does this sound like you’re your home? If so, please consider filling out an adoption application for me, Molly/PA using the link below as I’m ready to pack up her blanket and toys and start my next chapter! If you’re interested in submitting an application for Molly/PA, you can do so here: https://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application Once we receive you application the coordinator in the State where you reside will follow-up with you. Need to reach your State Coordinator, find their contact information here https://nbran.org/about/state-provincial-coordinators Molly’s adoption fee is 325.00 which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brit like Molly/PA back to good health and readying them for adoption.
