Story
Hey Everyone, I’m Regan a cute Orange & White Brittany mix looking for the right place to call home FOEVER! I'm estimated to be between 4-5 years old, as you see I was found as a stray before coming to start my new life here at NBRAN.  Just like many rescue dogs that have a bad start in life, but  now I feel safe and happy and am actually experiencing my first puppy hood, according to my foster.  She says this because I show many of the mannerisms and of course the energy you would see in a puppy. For example, most of the time I walk nicely on leash, but sometimes I get so excited and decide to pull a bit to hard. I also enjoy retrieving which is one way I’m learning self control. My foster Mom uses two balls, which I will drop the 1st one on command, and Wait for the Go command to retrieve the second ball. I don’t need to be told to come back while retrieving, but I can get a bit distracted. So, my foster still tells me to Come, which is good practice for my puppy brain and if I forget what I’m doing. The other thing I’m still learning is patience. My foster is helping with that by grooming my beautiful coat and long tail, which I’m not a big fan of but I'm doing better and being more tolerant. My foster Mom says this will help me build patience and composure for other situations, like being around other dogs. I like other dogs, but I do not know how to play nicely plus my energy level can be too much for most dogs. So, it maybe best if I find a home where I’m the only dog. I do love people and am very affectionate and loving but my energy maybe to much for young children. A cat free home is also best too along with a Secure Physically fenced in yard. Oh and last but not least, some housebreaking will be required, but I’m a quick learner. Plus I’m spayed, current on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. So if you ready to fill your heart watching me, Regan, an adolescent dog experience puppyhood for the first time blossom into an adorable member of the family please consider filling out an application Today! If you’re ready to consider making Regan apart of you family, please submit an application here:  https://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application Once your application is submitted the coordinator in the State where you reside will follow-up with you. Need to reach your State Coordinator, find their contact information here https://nbran.org/about/state-provincial-coordinators Regan’s adoption fee is 325.00 which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brits like me, Regan, back to good health and readying them for adoption. Regan is currently being fostered in Northwest Georgia and can be transported up to 1400 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee. Still have questions, contact Regional Director Chris Eddinger at ceddinger@verizon.netApril 22, 2026, 9:41 am

Good with dogs,
Story
Current Location: Bristow, VA Meet Emma – Your Built-In Best Friend 🐾 If you’re looking for a loyal companion with the perfect balance of cuddle and play, Emma is your girl. This sweet 2-year-old Brittany Spaniel weighs just under 30 pounds but has a heart big enough for the whole family. Emma is the definition of a snuggle bug—she absolutely loves being near her people, whether that’s curling up on the couch or quietly resting at your feet during movie night. She’s affectionate without being needy and settles in beautifully, even when left alone. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has a playful, friendly spirit while still being respectful of their space. (In fact, she made herself right at home and fell asleep with her foster siblings on night one—no drama, just vibes.) Cats? She’s curious but polite, happy to coexist without causing a fuss. Kids? Instant best friends. She’s gentle, calm, and content just being near them. Emma does have a bit of energy, so she’d thrive in a home with a yard or an active family who can give her space to stretch her legs and explore. When the day winds down, though, she’s all about the cuddles. She’s mostly house-trained (just a little first-night adjustment) and fully crate-trained. She’s learning her new name, Emma, but also responds to “Lady.” Emma is the total package—sweet, adaptable, affectionate, and ready to be someone’s forever companion. If you’re looking for a dog who will fit right into your home and heart, Emma is waiting to meet you. This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read about heartworm disease here: Read more about heartworm disease at https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basics

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.3/29/26 Still available! 2/22/26 Penny is a 3 year old Brittany Spaniel mix. She is a friendly, energetic girl who loves kids, cats, and most other dogs. Penny is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained. She really needs a home where she can get more exercise. A fenced yard would be ideal for her, but leash walks might do as long as her adopter is committed to walk/run her enough to get her energy out. Shes a good girl that just needs the right family to love her. She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  Penny is located in Arkansas. She can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
Meet Jake, a 10 ½ years young neutered Orange & White Brittany looking for a very special home to call my own!   Jake is currently being fostered in Northern New York, but is really dreaming of a home of his own. Don’t let he’s age fool you he still has lots of Brittany puppy energy, curiosity and mischief making ability to give. He would love an active home where he gets to go on adventures and nice walks, as Jake gets so excited when the leash comes out says his foster mom. Jake loves being around people but can get pretty excited and jumpy at times so a new home with older, dog savvy children would be best suited for him. He also enjoys the fact his foster family works from home. So, Jake really hopes his new family also works from home, is retired, or will at least spend more time home then away too. Jake is crate trained but it does make him nervous and anxious.    Jake is also quite the “talker” especially when he needs or wants something. His foster Mom wishes Jake either spoke English or she understood dog, so he could maybe tell her about his past and why he has some of the traits he does. Jake can be pretty set in his ways at times, like when it comes to sharing toys or things he’s not suppose to have. When Jake has a favorite toy, socks or other items that he’s not supposed to have, he will grab and keep it close. It’s felt he may have never had “things” of his own so now that he does he doesn’t know how to act, which is something his fosters are working on.  Jake is not a fan of other dogs, his previous interaction with them have not been positive, so he now much prefers to be an only dog. Jake’s new home should also be cat free too, as he has the typical Brittany prey instinct when it comes to chasing small critters too. Despite his quirks Jake loves to snuggle, curling up in a lap and sleeping next to his fosters at night. Jake is housetrained, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, on prevention, and micro chipped too. So, now all that’s missing is a place to call home Forever! Is that your home?  If so, please consider filling out an application for Jake/NY online at: http://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application. Once your application is submitted the coordinator in the State where you reside will follow-up with you. Need to reach your State Coordinator, find their contact information here http://nbran.org/about/state-provincial-coordinators. Jake’s adoption fee is 250.00 which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brits like Jake back to good health and readying them for adoption. Don't live in NY or close by, No Problem!  NBRAN also has a wonderful transport team willing to help bring Brits like Jake to their new family, up to 1400 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee.
