Hi! I’m Wilson and I’m a 9 month old Male Pug/ Brussels Griffon Mix currently living at the Santa Barbara Campus, eager for a new home! Heyy, if you're looking for a little dog with a big personality, I think we should meet. I'll be honest, I can be a little cautious when meeting new people. I like to take a moment to check things out, but once I realize you're a friend… well my goofy, charming self comes bursting out, and that's when the real fun begins! I was transferred in from a crowded shelter where space and resources were limited. While my previous shelter worked hard to care for me, I’m now getting a fresh start and looking for a loving family to call my own! I have plenty of puppy energy still left in the tank. I love to play, explore, and stay close to my favorite humans. Whether we're going on adventures, tossing toys around the living room, or just hanging out together, I'm happiest when I'm spending time with my person. One of my favorite things is office time. I take my job as Professional Companion very seriously and am always happy to supervise while you work. When the workday is done, you'll usually find me curled up on a big cozy bed, catching up on my beauty sleep. Because I'm still young, I'm learning that the world isn't such a scary place. I'd thrive in a home that can continue helping me build confidence through positive experiences and gentle socialization. With a little patience and encouragement (and lots of treats!), I continue to blossom more every day. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick and a playful best friend, I might just be your perfect match. Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed. Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Meet Heedong! She is the sweetest most adorable girll! She is a 4 year old that was rescued from a kill shelter before heading to a dog meat farm in South Korea.  We have partners we work with there that pull these dogs from the worst horrors imaginable.  Many of these dogs start off in horiffic puppy mill type facilities on tiny rabbit cage size wire crates in complete filth.  If they are not sold at 6 or 8 weeks then they either stay for a couple years to be used to breed more and then are sold off to the meat trade, or they are sold off right away.  Jindo's and Tosa's are the most common meat type dogs, and are very commonly bred specifically for their meat and the meat farms also act as breeding farms until they reach a good age and weight. South Korea is one of the only countries that actually farms dogs for their meat.   Restaurants will serve a dish called " bosintang ", which stands for "dog meat soup". It's a popular dish in South  Korea,  and is said to act as an aphrodisiac for men.    Little dogs are used for elixirs and potions.  The younger generation is mostly against this practice and many choose to not eat them, and we can only hope in time with education and generations of change that an end will come to this horrific trade.  Heedong and some of her family and friends have been flown here for a chance at a future and a real life.  These are miracle dogs that they are alive today.  Our adoption fee is $600 which helps offset some of the flight costs.  If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application form at  https://form.jotform.com/oscarlucy/dog-adoption-app June 21, 2026, 7:52 am

Karu is a sweet dog i said he is not good with dogs, yet. He was found as a stray dog and i have adopted him to foster. If you spend timw with him and be patient to inteoduce with other dogs, he will adapt to it and i believe he will be social.
