Story
3 years old, Brussels Griffon mix, male
Personality: playful, outgoing, smart, snuggler, rambunctious, energetic, and goofy/funny.
Meet Griff, a small pup with a big personality! He’s bursting with energy, always up for playtime, and equally happy soaking up attention from his humans. He’s eager to please and already knows “sit,” picking it up in no time.
Griff is making good progress with house training and is crate trained — he settles down quickly and naps peacefully. He gets along great with other dogs, especially his foster siblings, and loves both yard time and neighborhood walks.
He walks well on leash and is continuing to build his polite greeting skills with dogs and humans. Griff’s a curious and confident pup who’s as content with a toy as he is cuddled up for a nap.
If you’re looking for a happy, playful companion to grow with, Griff might just be your guy — apply today to meet him!

If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
