At 7½ years old and 20 lbs, this sweet Cairn Terrier mix is the perfect size for cuddles and companionship. Like many terriers, he’s got a little “spice” at first — but once he knows you, he’s affectionate, loyal, and happy to be by your side. He’s crate-trained and leash-trained for potty breaks. Casper would thrive with: Enrichment toys (terriers love to problem-solve!); consistent routines; positive reinforcement or clicker training; a family with children 8 or older. Casper has lived with other dogs and even cats and has done well with both, although he can be an annoying terrier boy with the cats. He is very barky with visitors until he gets acquainted with them and is reactive to other dogs and people when out on walks. Terriers are smart, active, and independent — but incredibly devoted to their people. Casper has already lost his longtime owner and deserves the security and love of a new forever home.
