Story
Meet Gidget! Gidget is a sweet 3 1/2-year-old, 9-pound Rough Coat Brussels Griffon with a heart full of love and a lifetime of happy memories waiting to be made. Gidget came to our rescue as a local owner surrender from a breeder/hoarding situation. Despite her difficult start, she has proven to be an incredibly affectionate little girl who absolutely adores people. She gets along well with other dogs, but what she loves most is being close to her humans. Whether she's curled up in your lap for a snuggle or tucked beside you on the couch, Gidget is happiest when she's soaking up all the love and attention you have to give. Gidget is doing well with house training and is learning what life as a beloved family pet is all about. She does best when she's taken outside frequently and will also use a potty pad when needed. Like many dogs coming from breeding situations, she is still learning routines and will continue to thrive with patience and consistency. Because Gidget is just beginning to learn how to walk on a leash, a physically fenced yard is preferred so she can safely explore, exercise, and continue building her confidence at her own pace. If you're looking for a loyal little companion who wants nothing more than to love and be loved, Gidget may be the perfect addition to your family. With kindness, patience, and plenty of lap time, she'll reward you with endless affection and unwavering devotion. Gidget is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, microchipped and just had a dental. Apply to meet Gidget at www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must be within a two-hour drive of Cedar Rapids, IA. Gidget is looking for an indoor home. Adoption fee is $400.

Story
Meet Walter! Walter is a handsome 9-month-old, 10-pound Smooth Coat Brussels Griffon who is ready to leave his past behind and discover what it means to be a cherished member of a loving family. Walter came to our rescue from a breeder/hoarding situation. While he missed out on many of the experiences puppies raised in homes enjoy, he is making wonderful progress every day and is learning that people can be kind, patient, and loving. Walter gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions around. He's still building his confidence with new experiences, so he'll need a family that understands he's learning the ropes of living as a family pet. With patience, consistency, and lots of encouragement, Walter continues to blossom. Walter is doing well with house training but will need frequent trips outside as he continues to learn. He will also use a potty pad when needed. At night, Walter enjoys sleeping with his people, where he feels safe and secure. Because Walter is just beginning to learn how to walk on a leash, a physically fenced yard is required. A secure yard will allow him to safely explore, exercise, and build confidence while he continues learning leash skills at his own pace. Walter's ideal family will understand that rescued breeder dogs need time to adjust to a whole new world. Every new experience is a chance for him to grow, and watching his confidence develop is incredibly rewarding. In return, Walter will offer quiet companionship, unwavering loyalty, and a lifetime of love. If you're ready to help a deserving little dog write his next chapter, Walter is waiting to meet you. Walter is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Apply to meet Walter at www.furfunrescue.org If you have questions, you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must be within a two-hour drive of Cedar Rapids, IA. Walter is looking for an indoor home. Adoption fee is $400.
