Story
Marvin is a sweet little smooth-coat Brussels Griffon who is ready to discover all the good things life has to offer. Marvin was born in November 2018 and weighs 14 pounds. Marvin came to Fur Fun Rescue from a breeder/hoarder situation where he had not been outside in years. You would never know it now. Marvin absolutely loves being outside and is happy to spend time exploring and taking in all the sights and smells of the great outdoors. One of the first things Marvin remembered when he got to his foster home was that he was housetrained. It didn't take him long to figure out that going outside to do his business was the way things work in a real home. He has done very well with his housetraining. Marvin will navigate a couple of stairs, but a full flight is not something he wants to tackle regularly. A home without lots of stairs would be ideal for this little guy. Marvin does well with dogs his own size and a friendly small dog could be a nice companion for him. After spending years with very little freedom, Marvin seems to have decided that being with his person is one of the best things about his new life. He is looking for someone who will appreciate having a little shadow by their side and who will enjoy giving him the love and companionship he has been missing. He is also looking for someone with the patience to let his personality bloom. He is also what we affectionately call a velcro dog. If you get up and move, Marvin is probably going with you. Head to the kitchen? He's coming. Move to the living room? He's right behind you. Go outside? Guess who's following! Marvin is a gentle little guy who is discovering that the world is much bigger than the place he came from. He loves being outside, loves being with his people, and enjoys dogs his size. Marvin is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped. He also just had a dental cleaning. Apply to meet Marvin at www.furfunrescue.org Questions? Reach out to rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657 for more info. Adopters must be within a two-hour drive of Cedar Rapids, IA. Marvin is looking for an indoor home. Adoption fee is $300.

Story
Reba is a 3-year-old, 15-pound Smooth Coat Brussels Griffon who is discovering that life has a lot more to offer than the busy world she came from. Reba came into rescue from a hoarding/breeding situation, and she didn't have much experience with people or the comforts of a normal home. She is still a little unsure when meeting someone new and may need a few minutes to decide that you are okay. Once she warms up, though, her sweet personality really starts to shine. Reba is a little shadow with four paws. She loves being near her people and is happiest when she can keep tabs on what you are doing. She doesn't need to be the center of attention or demand that everyone stop what they're doing to admire her. She simply wants to be included. Her ideal day is basically following her person from room to room, settling nearby, getting some attention, and making sure she isn't missing anything interesting. She is affectionate and absolutely loves to cuddle. Once Reba decides you are her person, she wants to be close. She enjoys curling up beside her foster parents and sleeps in bed with them at night. She has quickly learned that soft beds, warm blankets and sleeping next to your people are pretty wonderful things. Reba also has a playful, curious side. She enjoys being outside and loves having the freedom to safely explore her yard. She will sniff around, investigate what's happening and take advantage of the opportunity to stretch those little legs. A physically fenced yard is required because Reba really enjoys having a safe place where she can explore and run. She does great with other dogs and seems comfortable having canine friends around. While she may be cautious with unfamiliar people, she is not looking to be the boss of the household. Reba is happiest when life is calm, predictable and she knows who her people are. Reba is still learning how to be a dog who gets to simply enjoy being a dog. She is figuring out toys, routines, attention, cuddles and all the little luxuries that come with having a family. She may not rush up to greet a stranger but give her a little time and patience and you'll see the sweet, affectionate girl underneath that initial shyness. Reba would love a patient family who will let her take things at her own pace while showing her that home is a safe place to belong. In return, she will happily be your little shadow, your cuddle buddy and your constant companion. Reba is housetrained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. If you’d like to meet Reba, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Reba you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption Fee: $400
