Story
This is little Elliott! My sweetest boy who’s 7 years old. My mother rescued him from an abusive home when he was 1 years old. The first year of his life was living in a bathroom in his own feces/urine. He was neglected terribly and his developmental year was tarnished. He developed bad habits like barking and being aggressive due to his anxiety. Me and my mother have worked with him breaking bad habits but due to my upcoming move I unfortunately cannot bring him with me. This little guy has helped me in my hardest of times, he’s incredibly sweet, a great flight buddy, super affectionate once he trusts you, he prefers to be attached to one person, he tries to act tough but he’s scared all the time. I’m looking for an owner that has a lot of patience for a dog that has had a bad start to life. When you get through Elliott’s hard shell you’ll see how I fell in love with him.

AVAILABLE THROUGH RESCUE PARTNER: Lonely Hearts, Frederick MD area His Story: Lonely Hearts rescued Uggie and his siblings with the help of an organization in rural WV. At just 7 weeks old and weighing a tiny 3 lbs, Uggie is already proving that being a little different doesn't mean living a little less. Born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), this precious boy may wobble, but he certainly doesn't let that slow down his zest for life! The wonderful news is that CH is not a progressive condition. With appropriate care, exercise, and a safe environment, Uggie can continue building strength and confidence as he grows. His first step toward a happily ever after began when he arrived at LHAR. Now, he needs someone special to help him navigate his next chapter. Uggie is looking for a foster or delayed adoption home where he can: Enjoy a safe space away from his bigger siblings who might accidentally knock him over. Have carpet or soft flooring to help him find his footing indoors. Enjoy time playing on the grass and soaking up the sunshine. Receive all the love, patience, encouragement, and snuggles a little guy could ever want! He doesn't need someone to feel sorry for him. He needs someone willing to see all the wonderful things he CAN do and give him the opportunity to discover just how much life has to offer. Please consider opening your home and heart to this perfectly imperfect little man. Uggie has a whole lot of living to do, and we'd love to help him do it!
