Story
Caboose (AKA: Boose, Boose the Goose, Boosterpants, Booster the Rooster) is a resilient and quirky 4-year-old English Bull Terrier who has been on a journey from hardship to healing. Boose was rescued from a neglectful breeder where he spent his early life chained outside in isolation or confined to a crate in a barn. But in just six months, he's blossomed in ways that show his true heart. Caboose has discovered the joy of affection and now gives the sweetest kisses. He's learned that the couch is not only allowed—it's awesome. And his biggest discovery? The Chuck-It ball. It’s his absolute obsession! He'll play fetch as long as you're willing and will gently place the ball at your feet when he's ready for another round. Physically, Caboose continues to heal beautifully. His once-damaged muzzle is sprouting soft new fur, and the pressure sores and urine burns from his past life are almost gone. Emotionally, he’s come a long way too. While he can still be startled by new things, he gains confidence every day and is beginning to trust in the safety of home life. He’s improving steadily with potty training and will potty on command outside—a big step forward! While he still has occasional accidents, he's learning and wears a belly band inside just in case. Caboose is good on a leash and loves walks that let him explore the world at his own pace. Like most Bull Terriers, Caboose is full of personality and energy. Expect playful nibbles, silly “bucking bronco” antics, and moments of pure goofiness. Because of his size and exuberant play style, he’s best suited for a home without small children. He also needs to be the only dog in the home. While he is not dog reactive when walking on leash, he has not yet learned how to enjoy the company of other dogs. Caboose is looking for a patient, understanding person who will continue to help him build trust and confidence. In return, he’ll offer you loyalty, laughter, and love in spades. If you're ready to welcome a one-of-a-kind pup with a heart full of potential, Caboose is ready to start his next chapter—with you.
