Story
Meet Bruce, a young Bull Terrier (b. appx February 2023) in search of a loving home to call his own!  Bruce loves to be active and thrives on exercise and engaging activities.  He would really love to have a "job" to keep his mind occupied.  He adores human company, revels in snuggles, and will not be afraid to showerer you with kisses.   Bruce needs a home where he is the only dog.  He will benefit from working with a professional trainer.  Bruce will also benefit from leash training to ensure safe walks in the presence of other dogs.  A secure fenced yard is a must and no children under the age of 12 is preferred. The ideal match for Bruce is someone familiar with the Bull Terrier breed.  If you're looking for an active canine companion, apply today to adopt Bruce! The suggested adoption donation for Bruce is $400. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Story
Jules, a Bull Terrier born in June 2018, is on the search for a compassionate family that she can connect with. She thrives on attention, exercise, and affection, longing for a home that can meet her needs with love and dedication. Working closely with her trainer, Jules has mastered the art of remaining calm and redirecting herself when excitement peaks, marking impressive strides in her development. Reveling in cuddles, belly rubs, and playful sessions of fetch, Jules is discovering the joys of companionship and play. Embracing a structured routine has been key for Jules, providing her with a sense of stability and confidence in her daily life. She needs a little time to adjust to new stimuli, but offering her a secure environment with a consistent schedule will help her flourish. Jules prefers being the sole pet so her people can focus on her needs exclusively, offering support, routine, and encouragement to help her thrive and feel content. Before applying to adopt Jules, you need to be familiar with your local breed-specific legislation regarding Bull Terriers. Applicants must live within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area so can work with our free trainers, or must be willing to pay for own positive reinforcement trainer to work with Jules. The suggested adoption donation for Jules is $215. We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes.  Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  If this pet is not spayed or neutered at the time of adoption due to limited vetting availability, a voucher will be given to the adopter for a free spay/neuter procedure at Val Verde Animal Hospital. Spay/neuters completed elsewhere will be reimbursed $80/dog or $55/cat once proof of alteration has been received by Muddy Paws. Alterations are required for all Muddy Paws adoptions. The adoption contract states alters must be done within ONE month of the adoption date or the adopter will be in breach of the contract. Adopters are required to provide proof of alteration to Muddy Paws Rescue immediately following the procedure. Thank you in advance for your compliance. Story
I’ve had Pearl for four months. I got her from the Humane Society where someone found her wandering the streets. Pearl is a sweetheart. She has a ton of energy. She loves to cuddle and get belly rubs. She loves to give kisses, too! She deserves a better home where she can get the exercise she needs. Pearl does okay with one cat in our home, but she definitely needs more training. She deserves to be loved, she is a very good dog. She needs a new home that can give her the attention she requires. Pearl is energetic, playful, sweet, and loving

Story
Boris is a 7-year-old Olde English Bulldog who joined rescue when his senior citizen dad needed to move to a skilled nursing facility.  He's been an "only child" for the entirety of his life and would do best with a no other pets or, potentially, with a very mellow dog.   Since joining rescue in late May, Boris has started to relax in his foster home but has shown nervousness (panting and unable to settle) with a group of new people (family) visiting the home.so we are looking for an adopter with a laidback, fairly quiet home life.  Older kids would likely be ok.  Cats are apparently a hard no for him based on the surrender paperwork. Boris will require ongoing muzzle training (used to some extent for vet visits prior to joining rescue) and/or sedated vet visits.  We broke out our best of the best at PAH and he was still extremely anxious/fearful with a regular intake visit.  Car rides also lead to some anxiety for him so a more local adopter would be ideal! Boris, is a gentle, sweet big boy who will give you his entire heart once he feels he can trust you.  Consistency, kindness and patience will be of utmost importance to help intro him into your home.  He'll happily be your couch buddy once he relaxes! Boris has no medical concerns--full bloodwork was checked with his visit and he received an all-around thumbs up from Dr. Dan!   ##2794668##

Story
Macallen is a calm, cuddly 5-year-old who fit right into foster home life--he loves the couch, tough chew toys and hanging around the fire pit with foster dad and the resident bulldog. Very little is known about Mack's background but we were thrilled when PAH gave him a gold star at the time of his check up--no medical concerns! This handsome kid hasn't been around younger kids or cats so each would be a case by case basis. ##2762324##
