Story
Jules, a Bull Terrier born in June 2018, is on the search for a compassionate family that she can connect with. She thrives on attention, exercise, and affection, longing for a home that can meet her needs with love and dedication. Working closely with her trainer, Jules has mastered the art of remaining calm and redirecting herself when excitement peaks, marking impressive strides in her development. Reveling in cuddles, belly rubs, and playful sessions of fetch, Jules is discovering the joys of companionship and play. Embracing a structured routine has been key for Jules, providing her with a sense of stability and confidence in her daily life. She needs a little time to adjust to new stimuli, but offering her a secure environment with a consistent schedule will help her flourish. Jules prefers being the sole pet so her people can focus on her needs exclusively, offering support, routine, and encouragement to help her thrive and feel content. Before applying to adopt Jules, you need to be familiar with your local breed-specific legislation regarding Bull Terriers. Applicants must live within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area so can work with our free trainers, or must be willing to pay for own positive reinforcement trainer to work with Jules. The suggested adoption donation for Jules is $215. We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes.  Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  If this pet is not spayed or neutered at the time of adoption due to limited vetting availability, a voucher will be given to the adopter for a free spay/neuter procedure at Val Verde Animal Hospital. Spay/neuters completed elsewhere will be reimbursed $80/dog or $55/cat once proof of alteration has been received by Muddy Paws. Alterations are required for all Muddy Paws adoptions. The adoption contract states alters must be done within ONE month of the adoption date or the adopter will be in breach of the contract. Adopters are required to provide proof of alteration to Muddy Paws Rescue immediately following the procedure. Thank you in advance for your compliance. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.  To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page. ##1120818##

Freya is a high energy pup and is ready for adventure! She loves people, she gets along with other dogs for the most part, however she has had issues with certain dogs in the past and can be protective of her food. She requires a lot of exercise and attention! Freya loves going for long walks or jogs, playing fetch and frisbee, and chewing on a good solid bone. Freya is seeking a loving family who can handle her high energy and understands that she still needs training.

Story
Hi everyone, unfortunately here looking to rehome our sweet Lady. Lady (yes her name is lady) is a 65 lb 5 year old boxer/mastiff mix, in my time with her she has never had any problems with people. she is however not good with other dogs so shes most likely best as an only dog. She has some separation issues, so she would be best in a home where at least someone is home at all times OR in a home with a yard so she can have her own area. She has a great relationship with my cat korra, they sleep together and play together. So cats aren’t out of the question! She is great with kids as well, she pretty much just lets them do whatever they want with her. She is an extremely sweet dog, and I think any family would be lucky to have her. Unfortunately I have to let her go, I just cant provide her all she needs anymore. She needs someone home, and/or a yard. Please don’t hesitate to reach out whenever you see this, I wont be taking these posts down until we find lady the right home!

Story
Galaxy and his littermates where left in a crate at a local shelter very emaciated.  Thankfully that was the only issued they had.  They are happy healthy puppies putting on weight everyday.  We know they have boxer in them but not sure what else so we do not know how big they will be.  We think they where born sometime around  Feb of 2025.  They will have two of there puppy vaccinations (3 weeks apart) and microchipped and neutered prior do adoption.  They have also been wormed.  Galaxy is a sweet boy show very much wants a lap to cuddle in.  He will need a home that is up for a fun loving playful puppy.  He has not been around cats so he probably will want to play or figure out what they are.  He should be fine with kids but again remember he will need training and attention.  He has put on more weight since these pictures.   To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $250 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.June 26, 2025, 4:13 pm
