Story
Meet Howie, a friendly and playful young dog who would make a great companion. This boy was found as a stray and never claimed. He is very affectionate and gentle and loves to be with his people. His current foster home has a teenager, who has friends in and out of the house and Howie has been friendly with everyone he meets.Howie gets along with other dogs, he likes to be, inside and outside with his foster family dogs. A home with another dog for him to have a playmate would be awesome. He does want to chase the neighborhood cats, so no felines for him.Howie sleeps in his crate at night and when his foster is away form home he crates well then too. He is mostly housetrained, but still has an occasional accident, he will catch on to the routine. He goes on walks during the day and is working on his leash manners, still pulling a bit when he walks, but is getting better everyday. He is a very smart dog who is easy to train and responds well to positive reinforcement.Howie loves to play and run around and he's always up for an adventure. He's a great dog for people who love to stay active and spend lots of time outdoors. If you're looking for a best friend who will stick with you through thick and thin, look no further than Howie.Name: HowieBreed: Bull Terrier/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 11 months (estimated as of 4/21/25)Weight: 46.0 as of 4/21/25Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 12Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: NoAdoption Fee: $600.00 (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently: Tennessee IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
