Meet Harvey! 💙This gentle giant came into care as a stray and although we have only known him for a short period of time, he has already shown us how sweet he is! Harvey has gotten along with all staff and passes time lounging in his bed, leaning in for pets, or sniffing around the yard. Due to his size, a house with a yard would be ideal. Harvey is a smart boy and knows sit and paw. Ongoing obedience training would be beneficial to keep his brain in tip-top shape. Harvey has a neuter booked in Richmond BC. Adopters should be able to transport to and from. Do you think you could be Harvey's person? Here are some ways to find out:Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca! About Grizzly Grizzly has spent a few weeks in foster care and is settling in beautifully! He's a calm, gentle giant who loves cuddles, even if he doesn't quite realize just how big he is. Grizzly has met a few dogs and is generally social with smaller ones, but he can be reactive toward larger males. Because of his size and strength, we're currently looking for a home without other pets while he continues building confidence and working on his training. Training & Support Grizzly is already showing promise with his manners and is respectful around cats. He's still learning his leash skills, so continued positive, reward-based training will help him become more comfortable and reliable on walks. Gentle guidance, patience, and consistency will go a long way in helping him shine. A home with a yard would be ideal, giving him a safe space to practice his leash skills and stretch his legs. Ideal Home Grizzly would do best in a calm home without other pets, where his people can focus on his training and give him plenty of love and attention. His new family should be prepared for a big dog who is equal parts cuddly and strong, and who thrives with gentle guidance.
