Story
Our Scooby is one hilarious character. When you think of all the characteristics that Bullmastiff afficionados love about these fun-loving, goofy dogs, Scooby has them all. He is the poster boy for best of the Bullies.  Scooby's story is a familiar one. At the age of three, Scooby found himself a rescue statistic when his owners faced eviction with uncertain times ahead. Scooby joined our rescue from a local Connecticut Animal Control Shelter after staff had fallen in love with him.  Of course, Bullies are higher energy than most dog breeds, and Scooby is no exception. He is a robust boy with a BIG personality. He needs sufficient exercise to be happy, at least two to three brisk leash walks a day, plus a lot of focused playtime and ongoing obedience work with his person.  Scooby loves the outdoors and enjoys his walks even in the harsh weather. He would be an ideal walking or running companion, which would help work out his ya-yas before an obedience session. He has had a good grounding in beginning obedience and knows his basic commands. Adopters should continue his program, and develop his full potential. Bullies as loving as Scooby should be the Breed Ambassadors. Scooby has a strong, yet nimble physique, and is at an ideal weight of 75 pounds. His coat is short, manageable and easy to groom. Scooby is mostly tan with striking black muzzle markings.  Scooby could join just about any kind of active adult home. He is generally well behaved, and friendly to all. Although he is fairly easy to handle, he may overwhelm kids. He would be fine with other well behaved dogs near his size. We have not tested him but he would likely stalk and chase them beyond their comfort level.  Scooby has excellent house manners, and is house trained and crate trained, although adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that may occur as he adjusts to a new routine. Scooby rides calmly in the car, and behaves well in public. Scooby has been neutered, and has received routine vaccinations and health screenings. Story
For more than four years, Pi has lived a life most dogs never know — one built on survival, devotion, and quiet strength. At just 4½ years old, this Bullmastiff–Pit Bull mix carries a story that could have hardened his heart. Instead, it made him gentle, loyal, and endlessly hopeful. Pi has been by his person’s side since he was only three weeks old. Together, they navigated life on the streets. Home was wherever they could find rest — picnic tables, corners of public spaces, even the shelter of a port-a-potty. Pi never had a bed, a yard, or the comfort of routine. What he did have was loyalty, and he gave it fully. When his owner was arrested after an encounter with police, Pi was suddenly alone. He was brought to a shelter where the world went quiet — no grass under his paws, no familiar voice, no comforting touch. For 414 days, Pi waited for something familiar again. When his owner was released, he faced the impossible truth: he still couldn’t provide the life Pi deserved. In an act of love and selflessness, he chose to surrender Pi, trusting that this devoted boy would finally get the home he’d always gone without. Now, Pi is ready. Neutered, vaccinated (rabies and distemper), microchipped, and heartworm negative, Pi is healthy and prepared for his next chapter. He weighs about 72 pounds — big, strong, and full of affection. He has experience around children, dogs, and cats, but after decompressing, we’ve learned Pi is dog selective and should be the only pet in the home. We’re also looking for a household with children ages 16 and up. Because Pi spent his whole life at his owner’s side, he can feel a little sad when left alone — so someone who is home often would be ideal. He walks fairly well on leash and, like many dogs, gets excited by squirrels and chipmunks. Loves car rides and stuffies. He’ll thrive with a confident, patient handler who can help guide him calmly through the world. Above all else, Pi is a dog who loves deeply. He has waited his entire life to learn what “home” truly means — and he’s ready to give his whole heart to the family who shows him. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s weathered the storm and still believes in love, Pi is waiting for you. Being fostered in Old Lyme, CT, and ready for meet n greets state-wide!

Story
Buddy is a good, strong dog that needs a loving home IMMEDIATELY. He's in his second home already, and his current humans love him with all his quirks. However with the imminent death of Mama human, and several other ability to care for him changes, he needs someone able to give him all the care he deserves. He was previously kept tied up in a basement for his first 3ish years, and largely unsocialized. He's only been in his new home approx a year or less.Kids make him nervous and (loudly) defensive. He's protective and choosey of those he feels comfortable with. He's been too strong to test if he's choosey about dog friends, though he's been very patient with a visiting toy breed puppy. My cousin's dog, but I love him and how sweet he can be. Trainable, smart, attentive, still learning what play is. Mostly a couch potato, enjoys taking walks but pulls. Needs recall training, neutering, possible allergies/sensitivities causing skin and ear issues, dental care. SLOBBERY. Lapdog wannabe
