Hi, I’m Luke, and I’m a big, lovable boy tipping the scales at just over 100 lbs! Don’t let my size fool you—I’m a happy, easygoing pup who just wants to play, explore, and cuddle. I’m all about the good things in life: squeaky toys, water play, long walks, and best of all—snuggle time on the couch. I’m a pro at giving hugs (though I’m working on not jumping up too hard to give them—oops!). I get along great with other dogs and kids, but because of my size and enthusiasm, I’d do best with older children who won’t get accidentally knocked over during playtime. I’m crate trained, housebroken, and walk nicely on a leash—unless there’s a squirrel… then it’s game on! I do have a slight prey drive, so a little guidance goes a long way. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, playful companion to fill your home with love (and maybe take up some space on your couch), I’m your guy. Meet Wendell! 💛 Wendell is a 6-year-old Mastiff mix with a heart as big as his 75-pound frame! This gentle giant was taken in as a stray at just 7 months old and has spent the last several years living peacefully in a home with 15 other dogs of all ages and sizes. He’s truly a pack-friendly boy who gets along with everyone. Unfortunately, his owner had to downsize her dog family, so Wendell came to us. From the moment we met him, it was clear—this boy is pure love! 🥰 He’s chill, affectionate, housebroken, and oh-so-sweet. Wendell absolutely aced his temperament test and showed us just how easygoing and wonderful he is. This sweet girl is Xena! When you first meet her, you’ll realize that she’s two things: gorgeous, number one of course,then you’ll realize how gentle she is. Xena is not the smallest girl in the bunch, however, she is the most calm and laid-back—almost to the point where you will forget she’s there. You can often find her and her doggie bed or on the couch. Those are her happy places. well, anywhere she can lay down is really a happy place for her. If you can’t find her in those two places, you can most likely find her outside sunbathing while her friends romp around in the grass. Life with her is simple and sweet— just as it should be! We believe she is around 5 years old! With rescue this is just a guess. However, one thing that we can promise? Lots of love and snuggles in your future. Xena is a gorgeous fawn color with the sweetest droopy puppy dog eyes looking up at you like “are you gonna give me a treat or what?!” She’s a thick girl that’s not running any marathons, but she can promise you that she will be the best snuggle bug in the house. Her Foster’s children love to tuck her in and make her a little burrito in her blankies. She would be the perfect family dog for a family that loves to relax and sit outside having many backyard barbecue nights and morning coffee in the rocking chairs. I could see Xena happily sitting outside with you watching you garden and water the flowers. Xena would really be happy observing anything as long as she gets to lay down. She’s hilarious. But don’t think she’s all naps— Xena enjoys a good trip to the local park where she can watch the kids play and get her exercise in. The best part about going to the park is obviously all the compliments that she receives. “Oh she’s so beautiful!” “What’s her name? She’s gorgeous!” “Xena you are so calm!” Etc. Xena is extremely dog friendly living with four other foster dogs. She gets along well with everyone. she loves to do her own thing at the end of the day. If the other doggies have zoomies, she’ll happily watch them and cheer them on. She greets everyone with a gentle sniff and then she’s on her way to go say hi to the next doggie friend. We think that Xena could fit into really any chill pack because she gets along well with both male and females. Xena’s perfect partner? A chill older pup like herself who enjoys movie nights and couch cuddle puddles. Xena would love a backyard, but one is not required. She is easy as pie on leash and she would love to go on a walk around the apartment complex if that’s what she needed. I could totally see her happily, watching everyone from a balcony taking in the world around her. Her larger size may make her more of a candidate for a house with the backyard, especially because she’s not built for lots of exercise. Lol. This unbelievably gorgeous, wonderfully sweet absolute gentle giant is Zeb!! When this boy came into the pound everyone was completely awestruck and in love with him! He is absolutely huge, weighing over 100 lbs and coming in clearly thin. He was an easy going pure sweetheart from day one, always with a wagging tail, loving smile, and simple devotion to those he loves. Thankfully a wonderful foster home scooped this incredible guy right up and brought him home to give him tons of love until he can find the home of his dreams! This guy is half mastiff half Pyranees- so he’s a truly loyal country boy! He will ideally weigh probably 125 lbs or so of loving big mush! He’s quite tall and like having a little sweet pony around. He is about 28 months old and is an older all mellow mush but is happy to be by your side with anything you’d like to do with him, true to breeds! He has been to the vets and has now had all medical work completed! He is now current on vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing, and preventative and he has been microchipped and neutered! He’s absolutely glorious and ready to find his forever home! He has the quintessential Pyranees personality of just a big loving marshmallow, and the attentive, devoted brilliance and deep bond of a mastiff. He has been great with other dogs and will be good with other easy going dogs or as an only dog. He’s from the country and is definitely a country boy, looking for relaxed easy going, super loyal country parents! Meet Yeager! A devoted six-and-a-half-year-old Mastiff, American Pitbull Terrier, and Great Pyrenees mix currently living in Bethlehem, CT, whose heart is as big as his 70-pound frame. With a brindled fawn-colored coat that gleams in the sunlight and a soul that craves connection, Yeager is a lovable blend of strength, sweetness, and sensitivity. Yeager is the ultimate running partner and sunbathing enthusiast. Whether he's bounding beside you on a trail or sprawled out in a sunbeam with his paws in the air, he’s happiest just being near his people! Around kids, he shines—gentle and obedient, especially during mealtime when he’ll sit patiently with drool dripping in anticipation until he hears the magic word: “free!” He’s also crate-trained and house-trained, and though he does require a sturdy, escape-proof crate, he often chooses to snuggle up in it all on his own—it’s his safe little haven. Yeager’s heart is warm and full of affection, but it’s also a bit tender. After a traumatic veterinary experience a couple of years ago, he’s become more cautious around unfamiliar people. While he has never bitten anyone, he may growl or snap at the air when he feels unsafe. He’s working on his trust-building journey with the help of medication and positive reinforcement, but his next family should be patient and understanding—someone who will give him the calm, loving space he needs to settle in and thrive. He gets along famously with other dogs, having a blast with his canine cousins, and he’s an affectionate cuddle-bug to his human family! However, a home without cats or one experienced with slow introductions would be best due to his excitable play style. He’s also terrified of thunderstorms and fireworks, so a peaceful setting and a patient caregiver during loud events will help him feel secure. Yeager’s story is one of resilience, loyalty, and deep love.
